Idea for contest

I am wanting to do a stock picking contest. Something along these lines:

Each contestant antes up two premium smokes. Say PAM or better. Entrust them to a FOG with a great rep and humidor who has been here at least a year.

Each contestant picks three stocks as of 12/31/04.
One from the Dow 30.
One from the Nasdaq.
One from the SP500.

End of the year have two sets of winners. One for single best performing stock, one for best performing total three stock portfolio. Percentage of growth only, not including dividend just to KISS. Maybe if there is enough interest to generate prizes have a second or even third place getting smaller prizes.

Besides the fun of the contest someone will get some great smokes with some guaranteed age on them. At least 365 days.

Any interest, any refinements?

Maybe the worst picks have to smoke a La Finca Stinka.

I think that a year is way to long. I think your best bet would be to run it quarterly. I think that not everyone that joins would be around for a year

I think your best bet would be to run it quarterly

Or prizes for the quarter and ones for the year. We have a week or so to work out the details.
