No KB I am not mad at all I just call it like it is, the guy may be guilty of some disrespect but respect is earned and I dont think they will get it the way they have attacked him.You cant defend every statement made about LEO's because some of them are true.If the guy was making personal observations and these guys had some insight then why not just explain and clarify, why attack?
P.S. as i have said before i have much respect for what they do as I know what they have to put up with also i have a brother that is a captain in the county here.

You see it your way - I see it my way... You got a guy coming in here in his first post talking about a bunch of cops passing him in no passing zones, speeding, making u-turns and "breaking the law", like they were willy-nilly doing it to piss off the motoring public. He states that the local cops are towing cars just because they see stickers from other schools on them - that is out and out illegal!!! Those examples in and of themselves are an insult, ESPECIALLY if you have no clue as to what they were doing other than what your opinion is.
If you have respect for what they do, you would not be agreeing with what Hodgy posted unless he can back it up with facts. To then go into a cocky whine about the LEO profession being like putting carts away at a country club is going over the edge. Clearly - no where in ANY of his posts did he SHOW any respect for the LEO community - he just SAYS he has respect. His words are contrary to what he says are his intentions.
Never said I agree with what he said, but I dont agree with the way you and sarge have handled it either, he never made it personal you and sarge did, this is the problem I have.It is supposed to be against board policy to use profanity, he didnt you did.My only points.
And this is just assinine...
the guy may be guilty of some disrespect but respect is earned and I dont think they will get it the way they have attacked him.
Let me pat him on the butt and tell him it's okay when he's insulting established members of this board. That's okay, BigMac. I've got to earn his respect... BS!!!! The guy doesn't show respect from his first post on - and you think I'm going to earn it??? Go back and re-read my collegiate example - I think Hodgy knows full well what I'm talking about - he comes in as a Freshman, and acts like a Senior... Not a good move in anybody's book. You gotta show respect to earn respect. And you even admit you saw him being disrespectful - but that's okay, right?
He was being disrespectful because YOU were being disrespectful, but what you are saying is he has to respect you FIRST then maybe you will show some respect, not a good way of getting respect INHO.
Obviously you are bent on defending Hodgy - Have at it BigMac.

Not defending him just trying to get the record straight, you have kind of skewed it a bit.I am not getting into a pissing match with you so you can carry on, just keep it civil please.

You are not trying to defend him? Really... It appears to me you are not trying to set the record straight - you are trying to skew it to meet what you deem as straight in favor of Hodgy.
Okay, BigMac - have at it. You started this most recent discussion after everything has died down - please carry on... I'm very interested in what you have to say.
Let me start... Hodgy came in here and posted some assinine, nonsensical crap about cops breaking laws to obviously piss off the public (i.e. speeding, driving down medians, making u-turns, etc.) - of course he doesn't REALLY know why the officers were doing that, but in his mind that was the reason for it. Back it up with facts... What, there are no facts?? Oh, my... I guess we should trust what Hodgy has to say on the matter because he's obviously had YEARS of experience in such matters, right? He's been on all kind of ride alongs and has seen the evil grin of officers as they act like an a$$ while driving, just looking for other motorists to be pissed off...
Then he makes an assinine statement in his second paragraph of that first post that cops are towing cars as a vengeful way of dealing with people from other schools visiting his campus. Again, breaking the law to act sadistic towards the general public. Oh, boy... That had to have pissed them off... Of course Hodgy was right there participating in the discussion as the officers were hooking the cars up!!! That's how he knows... But wait, he DOES respect cops!!!
It goes down from there, admittedly, because Hodgy doesn't feel he owes any respect to any member of this board. Let's see - we gotta show him respect to get respect - is that what you think, BigMac? Okay - if that is a truism according to your standard - where was the respect Hodgy showed to members of this board? You think maybe he should have shown some respect? After all, you did say he was disrespectful... Oh, that's okay - he's a new guy and just doesn't know... Right?
At what point did you say to yourself, BigMac - Oh, Crap - Hodgy is going to get a earful with this series of posts? And why weren't you there saying to him "Hodgy, best just to let this one lie - you're going to get an earful..."
You, sir - KNOW BETTER!!! You've been here long enough to know a beat down was coming based on his attitude. And now you're going to carry on??? Please....
I always wanted to be a fireman and I'll tell you why. (Sorry, Swissy, but it's true). A fireman comes to your house when your toaster catches fire, putting black smoke in the kitchen. The Firemen come in the house, punch holes in the walls and ceilings with a pike pole for "ventilation". Climb on the roof and cut out a huge section with a K-10 tool. They do thousands of dollars worth of damage to the house. And as the fireman are rolling up their hoses, getting ready to leave, the homeowner is happily trailing them with checkbook in hand, asking them where he can make his contribution to.
Cops, on the other hand, stop you for speeding (which you clearly are doing) - you yell and scream at the officer, call him all kinds of bad names, and tell him you WERE going to make a contribution to the police department, but screw that!!! All over a $75.00 ticket. And I've seen that vendetta carry on for DECADES after the ticket was issued.
I know, BigMac - you have RESPECT for what the LEO's do... Lip service, BigMac - nothing but pure lip service...
