I want to know which one you are?

I have a few cigars that i'm waiting until i have the proper time and setting to get the maximum enjoyment, but it's simply that, when the time is right. Now, on special occasions i'll burn something better, but i will also just decide to burn a $40 cigar as i would a $5 cigar. I also have gifted and received some really cool sticks, that's a big part of the fun of this place, making someones day a little brighter :)

John:

I am like you............as a matter of fact, if you remember, I PM'd you about this and we laughed about it. I keep realizing as I update my inventory that I sent out the last one of these, or the only one of those, but the way I look at it.............Before joining CP, I never knew what a good cigar really was and I have smoked a lot of great cigars since, so I am way ahead!

Being new, I cherish the HTF cigars I've received.. I'm saving them for the fear that they would go to waste on my inexperienced palate. ???

This too was my frame of mind for quite some time... Now I just have a few that I am saving for special occasions and other than that its all fair game to me...

I agree with Rob though too, that I tend to save the nicer/higher end ones for when I have the time to really dedicate to enjoying them...

If I hoard them, and die tomorrow, my wife will have a pretty good idea of how much money I spend on cigars. If I smoke them, there is very little evidence.

Most of my rare and special stuff is the result of gifts, or was bought to trade or gift.

Your wife knows how to contact me, should disposal become an option.

Every cigar I have or will ever get will be eventually turned to ashes. I don't buy the damn things just to look at them...

.....then again, I do like just opening my cabinet's doors and staring. Sometimes I get in a trance when I stare too long. But, I always remind myself that they are just cigars, not pieces of art

In the short time that I have had hard to find/special sticks, I find myself saving the better ones for special times. Most times those special times end up being moments when I know that I can smoke them uninterrupted. Although I do enjoy smoking some special sticks once I receive them because I can not wait. Others I save because I know they will age well. So I guess I am all over the board.

I fall into both. I try to keep way more than I'll ever smoke...that way I don't notice the ones that are being saved.

I guess i'm a bit like you, it's easier for me to gift a good cigar then to smoke up all the primos. ???

Every day that I'm alive is a special occasion. I smoke whatever I feel like out of my inventory. I have recently pared it down quite a bit so I really only have the stuff I REALLY enjoy. Life's too short and too precious to lovingly caress and fondle the really good stuff while puffing on a "yard gar"...
