We just melted the 6 inches we got a week ago.

Wow Alan, Buckle down...looks like it's going to be a big one!

Good news though, at least your pipe season is still in full swing!

Alan, looks like it's the same storm that blew through here. Good luck!

Nice. The local weather stations are calling for temps in the mid-40's with a possibility of rain this weekend. You know what that means. I'll make sure my snow blower is gassed up and there's plenty of gin and vermouth in the house.

I am with you LB, I need to move too. I am coming from the other end of the spectrum. I am still sunburnt from playing golf yesterday.

But, as great as that sounds I HATE it down here!! The winters are really nice, back home spring type weather, but I would give anything to have four seasons and a view of the mountains. While year round golf is excellent, sticky humid and 90s for most of the year just is not my bag. Also some hardwoods here and there would be nice, I am over pines and palmetto.

I have always lived up north , but every now and again Uncle Sam decides I need to sweat for a few years and sticks it to me. Right now my two little ones would be loving some snow.

Good luck with the storm.

Mike

Sunny and 80 here.

Hmmm....I'm feeling a touch of Swine Flu coming on again.

:D

Several days ago. Near future??

We got our ice last week with the 6 inches of snow.

The wind has really picked up here. 20-30mph sustained with gusts in the 40-50mph range. It hasn't started snowing yet, but if this wind keeps up and it snows as much as they say it is going to I don't think we'll be leaving the house until Saturday. I just hope my wife makes it home safe this evening before the snow really starts flying.

At least we don't live on the point out in Lake Superior. They're talking 7-10 foot swells with higher winds than here and all kinds of erosion. They say there may be 15ft waves coming off the lake overnight tonight.

I hear you. It's supposed to skirt us, but you never know living this close to the lakes. Hunker down, throw an extra log in the fire, and stay warm. Hope your wife will be okay.

John

Before I started smoking cigars winter was my favorite season. The crappier the weather the better. The more snow the better. Now I'm tired of freezing my ass off to have a relaxing smoke. Come on summer!

Next winter I should be indoors. $700.00 for a smokeeater, but I figure it'll be worth it.

That's nuts. We're expecting 90F weather here in So Cal this weekend. :)

Alan I share your misery. Although we're south of you it sucks that winter won't throw in the towel.

Soon, real soon...................
