Somewhere, out there.
I hope someone can help me out here.

I have a couple of old manuals for some tools in .pdf format. I'd like to get them printed and bound so I can use them out in the shop. I'd like to have them printed double sided so I can fold them out flat as they have steps for setup and the like.

I'd hate to use our home printer for these documents as they wold likely use up most of a $50 ink cartridge and I think I should be able to get this done for less than that elsewhere.

I've done a search and I can't find anyplace that will just do one copy. Everywhere I've found does business documents only and they have a minimum order.

Any help?

Staples? or Kinko's. Put it on a flash drive or email and load it on their PC and print there.

Gary's right....any of the better copy / print shops should be able to help you out in a pinch.

One word of caution....copy shops are virus mills. Whatever media you take in (unless you mail the PDF's to them) should be set to "write only". If it'll fit on a floppy use one, then throw the sucker away when you are finished......

Place an ISO on Craigslist for a monastic scribe. Monks need work too.

I was hoping to find an online place to do this to compare prices a bit. We don't have a Kinkos here (or Staples). The only local places we have that will do this want to charge me almost $40 to do both. Either I'm out of touch or that seems quite high.

I've actually used Staples Online mechanism to have something printed and then gone in to pick it up. There was no minimum, AFAIK, and it was pretty quick service.

I've also used Kinko's and have been a regular with them. You can have things printed to a specific printer and/or choose the paper you want as well. (they may be a better option if you want specialized "old fashion looking" paper).

Problem solved! Link

Where's that Freebern quote when I need it...

Looks like I'm taken care of here. :)

FYI to all the Kinko lemmings & monk haters: I did receive a reply with contact information for Minnesotan monastic scribes! Craigslist rules!

The basic info : In 2000, a calligrapher named Donald Jackson commissioned the Benedictine monks of Saint John’s University and Abbey in Collegeville, Minnesota to create a copy of a 1300 year old masterpiece, the first handwritten, illuminated bible commissioned since the invention of the printing press.

That is hilarious! I just used Craigslist for the first time last week to buy an older table saw. It looks like you really can find anything on there.

There are 4 places in town where I could do this and the prices are quite high. This area isn't exactly a booming metropolis...

Thankfully, a BOTL has offered to help me out. He will be compensated (though he asked not to be) and his help is greatly appreciated.
