I personally use a small fridge instead of a cooler. But, now that the CPI cigars are back in my posession, I need to go buy a cooler just for the CPI cigars. So which is it guys? Which cooler has the best seal and has slots?

Emo...
Have I got a deal for you!! I have a Coleman 100qt cooler, good seal, wire shelves with some cedar lashed underneath. Since I got my cabinet humi, it's sitting in my spare room and the wifely unit says IT MUST GO!! It's either give it to someone or turn it into a fish hauling cooler (which I have 4 of already)

say the word and I'll mail it to you!! Otherwise some lucky CP'er will end up with it (for the right price of course...)

What's the weight and your zip? I'll start looking into finding the cheapest way to ship it.

Nice setup Tommy! I've got to look into one of those Marine jobbies myself.

Just for other's reference, here's a shot of my coolidor, which is a Coleman that had the slots to fit some shelves. The shelves are actually a cedar veneered plywood, but solid cedar would be nice if I could find it. And on the top shelf in that glass bowl are my beads, which keep it at exactly 65%.

Hey Tommy, are those SG's from Queens? You Dog!! :p

Ooh, Ohh, I'll play. :D

This is my 48 qt Coleman. It turned out to "feel" smaller than I thought it would be. In any case, it's the dedicated Habanos deep freeze. I use cedar strips (actually the collar pieces from full boite nature boxes) to space the boxes off of each other. I took the humi element and hygrometer out to make the shot. Being in my basement, it holds steady at around 57F and 66%.

Greg,

I think they did indeed carry some of that delicious "Aristocrat Essence" with them. :D Nice way to class up my humble tub. ;)

Wilkey,

I see you have trini robusto extras.:) How have they been?

To be honest, I don't know. There hasn't been enough warm time during the day this winter to smoke a big cigar like that. If it's anything like the Reyes and Coloniales though, it'll be world class. If the weather holds for the end of this week, my first big smoke of the season will be the Romeo y Julieta Churchills 2000.

no sweat. i have a box on order. I can't wait. I also envy you for the R&J churchills. I had an early 04 that was out of this world. :)
