Humidor oddities, anyone have a story?

Tmoney, you quoted Yeahthatsme in your reply so you really can't blame people for not catching it if it as indeed a joke on yourself. Your past reactions and propensity for going over the top has made it difficult to read humor or jest into your posts. And ending an explanation with "but rag on" only serves to strengthen the persona you've created here.

That's understandable. I realize that I lost it back then, and I'm trying to not take myself, or anything else on the internet as seriously anymore.

Here's a chess set one that I think is kind of cool: http://cigars.max-superstore.com/chess-set-humidor

Here's an ugly piece to put your cigars in, too:

Uh, John? That opening ain't where the cigar went. :whistling:

I don't know, you never know where that opening has been. I bet she could blow the barrel of a bazooka. I do like the chess set. Wish I knew how to play. That would be a great way to enjoy a good cigar.

That's generally a safe approach. I vote we put this one behind us, what with the holiday season quickly approaching, and see if we can't enjoy ourselves a little bit.

As far as odd humidors go, I've been playing with the idea of working a humidor into an unrelated piece of furniture/electronics/etc. More specifically, using an old computer case and working a box style humidor into it, so that it would be accessible, whilst still having a working computer housed within. It's a bit of a pipe dream, since it would take time money and expertise that I don't have, but it would be an interesting mix of two of my hobbies.

Sounds like a plan to me.

I've seen a couple old ice boxes turned into humidors. I always thought that was pretty cool.

I'd be worried about the heat from the computer getting to my smokes, but I like that idea. Maybe a couch with a humidor in the armrest...

Let me know if I can be of any help in your endeavour.

I just realized, with a mouth like hers, best you could hope for is to bang the hell out of the sides.

Didn't you say you were going to do the same with your Sybian?

Tom, thanks to you, I've been forced to buy one of these:

Nah man, I actually think I'm going to sell it, your trade offer still stands, right?

I've seen one of those log humidors with "Cohiba" carved out in the middle. Supposedly it came from Cuba but was not even close to being Cohiba brand.

I like the idea of a 1940's -or 50's radio or stereo cabinet. The ones with the rattan looking speaker covers. It would be a great looking and hidden humi I think.
Here

I've always thought that the perfect Habanos humidor would look just like a Habanos cigar box with seals and all, but would hold like 50-75 cigars.

There was someone making humidor out of Opus X boxes at one time but I thought they were still a little small in size. They were quite nice as I recall.

I think that was the same one I came across. There was some comment about it being a counterfit of sort.

I just realized, I think Monica has reclining bucket teeth.

Humi, take a look at Cribbage. Just as much fun a chess without having to get a Phd in employee management.
