Humidifier growing mold

This advice was given to me by Viper regarding salt testing:

"It is recommended that you go for 24-48 hours when this test is done. The reason for that is it takes a while for the salt to actually regulate the moisture to the proper level. If after 24-48 hours your hygro reads 75% you have one of the few accurate out of the box."

I did this and both my hygrometers were off by a couple percentage points. I would recommend doing it again, IMHO.

Ok I am going to do the salt test again, and this time give it two days. I just bought a 152 quart Igloo, so I will be ditching the humidor soon enough. I ordered a pound of beads, will that be enough for the coolerdor? (I am about to do the math and find out for myself)

if you use the credo style you have to use the PG solution, I had the same problem with the credo and no PG, they mold up very fast. Use the beads, they are much better.

After approximately 24 hours the hygrometer is reading 68% RH. After about 6 hours it read 73%. I am guessing that my original reading was taken within 6-8 hours, and the system had not calmed down. If this is correct, then the system has equalized if you will, and my digital hygrometer is 6-7% off. This would explain all my problems. Opinions?
