How many smokes can you handle in a day?

Howdy campers,
I'm not sure if this topic has been brought up in the past but I'm wondering typically how many cigars you've been able to enjoy without diminishing the enjoyment of the cigars as the day wears on.

Personally, the most I've ever been able to enjoy was 2. For some reason I find it hard to appreciate the taste and aroma of the 2nd cigar as the first cigar's taste and aroma lingers on my palette for a good number of hours afterwards. One of the things that I've been cursed with is not only a big nose, but also one that really can't appreciate the full aromatic bouquet of a cigar unless its been cleansed (with a neti pot usually). When I get a cold its a nightmare!

So, hows about the rest of you lot!! How many can you TRULY say you enjoy in a day without the law of diminshing returns coming true in decreasing your appreciation for each subsequent cigar?

I would have to go with 2 also. I could probably go for 3 and still enjoy them, but I am usually to busy to be able to sit down and smoke 3 cigars. If I go camping where I have nothing to do but sit around, I could smoke 3.

I smoked 3 a day on vacation, I generally smoked the first around 10am then about 3:30 or so the second. After dinner, about 8-9pm I smoked the third. All were enjoyable.

Normally I smoke 1 a day, on the way home from work (50 miles), I may smoke a second later in the evening, but generally not.

That being said, I have been working at home this week and have burned at least 2 a day.

Damn that wicked weed.

The most I've smoked in one day is 2.

Now that I learned that you're not supposed to inhale any smoke into your lungs, I won't be afraid to smoke a couple.

That is if my wife doesnt' stop complaining that I smoke too much:
"You have smoked like 3 cigars theis WEEK! SMOKING IS BAD FOR YOU!" etc...

Well, I guess it's good that she cares. ;)

I can appreciate two smokes in a day.

I rarely smoke every day, tho. Usually 3-4 days a week, and usually only one each day.

I've been able to smoke and enjoy 3 in a day while on vacation. Never back to back, but broken up through out the day.

On an everyday basis I can usually only get 1 in.

The most I have had and still enjoyed would have been 6 or 8. It was a long road trip and I couldn't enjoy the cigars afterwards for about 3 days though.

The most I have had was 6 in one afternoon. But that was a long day with the guys at the pool with a lot of beer and shots. It just kinda flowed. But I have been called a cigar chain smoker, CHEWY!! But I can handle about 2-3 in one session and love the hell out of it!!!

dang fetterjohn...6 cigars.

That would last me 2 weeks.
I guess I'm a cheap date...and a weak a$$.

And those with 8/day under their belts...that's also under the cigar chain smoker category!

I can only smoke robustos (or similar short-length sizes) at this point.
Churchills are insane!

I generally smoke 1 or 2 every other day... If my wallett could handle it I would smoke more but I have expensive taste in my stick selection. (i.e VSG, Opus, DCM etc.)

I would enjoy 3 spread out throughout the day but 2 is more common for me.
Three would be on a rare occasion.

Often I don't have the opportunity to smoke everyday. 2-3 days a week is average and on a good day 3 smokes, but usually only one. Some days I find myself thinking about sneaking off for a cigar during the day at the office. I'm fortunate in that it's my business so I could do this, but I suspect it could become a bad/good habit!

(And yes I have had very important "appointments" during the day.) :whistling:
