Day two without power in Shelby, NC. But we are doing ok. City water, so there's that. Who doesnt enjoy a cool shower now and then? If we dont have power tomorrow I will have to empty the deep freezer and truck it all to one of our sons houses.
last time I checked there were 1.5 million people without power in an area from Charlotte to Greenville, SC.
It's an inconvenience but there are many people missing, or worse. Many people lost their homes and possessions to flooding. There are a lot of roads still closed due to bridges washed away. For the first day there were a lot of trees blocking roadways.
I never would have thought I'd see a hurricane in Asheville!
Indeed! We have been thankful that it hasnt been hotter. First day was actually nice. Low 70s. Yesterday it got up to 80. Today its warm but cloudy and a nice breeze.I had lost power for about 4 days after Francine rolled through here a few weeks ago. Call me crazy, but I kind of looked forward to those cold showers after sweating through out the day.
roughly where is BurnBerry located?I heard from @BurnBerry . He said they have been devastated by flooding and will be without water and supplies for months. He also said that it may be a few weeks to a few months before he will make it back to CigarP ass. If you’re the praying kind, I’m sure it would be appreciated. If not, a few good thoughts would help too.
