Its not exactly a manly ride, but 33MPG ain't bad.

I bought a Ford Fusion - a red one. Ford matched my $1000 down and financed me at 2.9% for 60 months. Schweet! I chose the "S" model with an inline 4 to maximize the mileage. I have a 28 mile one-way commute to work and the F150 with its V8 was killing me. I'm not particularly vain when it comes to vehicles. I do like a few comforts and the base model comes with everything I want. The "SE" and "SEL" only seemed to have cosmetic adds and the V6. Didn't need em.

You guys coping with the gas prices?

Well a few months ago I traded my Ram 1500 in, it had the V8 360 in it, got 9mpg. Glad i traded it in on an 05 impala, it gets around 28mpg.

i am fortunate to have a company gas card (which i have never abused) so all is cool.i still price shop and i have my oil changed, scheduled maint. and tune ups to keep the gas mileage up to par. i have a toyota highlander limited V6 AWD, so i average about 18-22 mpg. not great mileage, but not bad either for an suv.

I just went from a 2002 Silverado 2500HD to a 2005 Magnum R/T.
Even with the V8 Hemi I get at least 18MPG on the hwy (uummmm...and I seem to arrive everywhere early!).

The 50 mile round trip I take mon-fri is a little more enjoyable in the summer - when I ride my motorcyle!

Enjoy the new car!!

I drive an old Grand Am with a V6 and get 27-28 mpg on the highway. The wife's Saturn with a 4 cylinder gets 37 so we're ok at the moment.

The gas prices suck.....no doubt. But it could be worse I guess.

I just bought a new truck too... 2001 chevy silverado 1500. It gets about 20mpg if I'm lucky

...though diesel prices are higher than hell, I still really like my 2004 VW Jetta TDI. I get a consistant 39-40 M.P.G. running around town, and 45+ on the freeway.

The wife's BMW, however...... :whistling:

Have a "For Sale" sign in my 98 F-150 as we speak. It's my baby, but I can't do it anymore at $3 a gallon. Looking into an Outback or perhaps an Escape..any opinions on an AWD "wagon"?

my taurus gets crappy mileage, so next year when i pay it off i'm getting something smaller...i'm looking at that ugly little scion delivery truck thing. i want something new, cheap and foreign (that i dont' hate to look at)

my motorbike gets 40-45 MPG, so i pray for nice weather here in upstate NY.

:)

I get 21.9 miles to the gallon. I drive too fast, and have a 43 mile each way commute, half on back roads and half on the highway (time wise, more of the miles are on the highway). I thought I shoudl be getting better mileage, and think I would if I slowed down a bit and didn't accelerate as hard as I do to try to get in sync with the lights. I commute in a Passat V6 4Motion.

Yeah I bought a new F-150 a few months back and I am lucky to get 18 mpg. I am thinking of getting something smaller or a motorcycle as well as keeping my truck. I don't have much of a commute, but 3 bucks a gallon is going to drain me anyway.

Just returned from Palm Springs CA. Filled up my motor home as we left, cost $295.00.
I'm happy to contribute to the billions of profit Exon Mobile will make this year! ---> NOT!!!

I have a V6, and so far, refuse to drive a 4 banger.

The prices do suck. Im driving a Ford Sport Trac. I'm lucky to get about 17mpg. It's a heavy focker. 22" wheels doesn't help but they sure do look good! :)

My motorcycle gets much better milage but since the wife and I commute together and she is getting close to 9 months pregnant, that isn't going to help much this year!

My boat has twin 6.2's it gets around 1 mpg at cruise, add in the marine fuel tax to a gallon of gas and it's starting to take the fun out of boating. But right now beer is about $5.00 a gallon and I'm learning to deal with that.
