Hosting a pass and need a greenhorn for experience!

I will be hosting another pass in earlier March and was going to open one spot for a new newbie to join in.
Rules:
1) You can't have participated in a pass already
2) You must have less than 6 months on the board
3) Post count doesn't matter but you must be an active member.
4) Give me a reason that you would like to participate in my pass.
5) 1 entry per member
6) You must have your reason posted in this thread by Jan 20th

Ah hell, I'm still going to consider myself a newb 5 years from now, even if I've participated in a dozen passes during that time. Unfortunately, your definition of a newb is more conservative than mine.

I offer congratulations to the newb who gets in on this. I hear Jonesy packs a nice pass.
 
Nice offer Jonesy! I am on my second one right now. These things are a lot of fun. I am glad that I finally got in on one, and am looking forward to lots more of them to come. Thanks for helping another newb get a start!

Reason:

Well, primarily because I like cigars damnit! ;)

That's why I am here - to learn more about them, meet people who share my enthusiasm, and generally have a good time with like-minded people. Since I joined CP I have done the Newbie Sampler Trade with Geldor1 and got some great smokes from him, most of which I'd never tried and some that I knew nothing about. I've also been meeting up with some local members at their weekly herf. I have gotten to know several and have had a great time talking and laughing with them as we smoke the cigars we've been giving each other.

I think the next step in getting more involved in the community here is to participate in a pass. I'd like to learn how it's done, I'd like to get to know some more CP people and I'd like to give and get some new and different cigars.

2) Ive only been on the borad for 3 Minutes

4) I think Im worthy to be part of your pass, Im new but im a honest person and really think you guys have agreat thing going with these passes. just the friendships that build and the expierences that are exchanged is awsome. I feel that im ready to take that step. Ive seen some of the passes that alexgtp has been in, and its just amazing to be able to share great cigars with great friends,

Good evening.

I believe that I am interested in joining your pass, and I meet the criteria. Now for my reasons:

1. I believe...that...I am a complete newb to the idea of cigar passes, and still relatively new to cigars in general(Smoking for about a year), and look forward to learning/experiencing different things..Such as...passes. I view my inexperience as an opportunity, not as a hindrance, to both myself, and any pass that I'd be involved with... Such as...and.

2. I'm 6'3"

3. Also, the fact that I'm an landscape architecture student, who's taking 19 credits, is a resident assistant, and still works an outside job, I dont get much time to go cigar shopping and to try new things. Not only would this deliver good things to my door, but also force me to get out and buy some goodies.

4. I referenced Miss South Carolina in my first point.

5. My girlfriend is laying next to me in bed right now, asleep. I made her watch "Under siege" with me. In doing so I purposely ensured no chance of getting any action tonight, in that that she would fall asleep and I could write this response now, at 12:30 am without being bothered. If thats not dedication, I dunno what is.

6. I made my girlfriend watch Under Siege.

I know some other newbies have already thrown themselves out there but I'd like say I'm up for it too... Just in case :)

Never done a pass ever, done several trades and PIFs on another forum and have a trade in progress here.

2) You must have less than 3 months on the board

How about less than three weeks?

3) You can only have 150 posts or less

4) You must tell me and the board why you are worthy of getting into my pass.

While I'm not new to cigars I'm new to this board and would love to jump in on some of the action. I have plenty of premiums on hand for trading and not to mention I work at a UPS Store so you can ensure that the box coming from me will be packed very well :) That and box passes have intrigued me for a while so I'm pretty anxious to see what they are all about. Not to mention I work right next door to a cigar lounge so if I don't have anything up to snuff it a solution is less than 10 feet away!

This won't be a newb pass so you'll have to fit the requirements in my first post. I'm just opening up one slot to a newb so he can get his feet wet.....the rest will be invites.
 
Before I tell you why I should be picked for your pass, I need to know what cigars are going to be in the pass. :cool:
 
Super cool of you Brian. It's good to see BOTL's taking some newer guys under their wing. I think that cuts way down on the mistakes that cause drama and weeds out some of the asshats.
