Have you found any unpleasant bitter flavors this way? What ratio of grounds to mash volume?

None at all
1 pound for a 10 gallon batch (packaged volume)
150-155 is well under normal brewing temps so you don't get bitterness.
I do keep it in it's own nest bag however, and that is where having it course ground pays off....
then, treat it like a hop sack and SQUEEZ to extract all the flavour you can, I squeeze right into the boil kettle.

What kind of hops?Just cracked the first bottle of our Session IPA while making a rum wash. This beer is phenomenal. I’m thrilled with the result!
