Holy Grail Pass

On second thought, you know, there are a few newer folks in this pass (including myself). As the host pass, rather than tell KB to simply check with the group, I probably just should have asked him to reconsider his P&Ts. My mistake. Here's what I propose. I'll have to check the humi to see what I've got, but I'll supplement the pass with 2-3 additional ISOMs. I don't think I've got any more Cohiba's or Trinidad's, but I'll come up with something. I believe Wasch is next in the pass order. On Wednesday, I'll ship out a few more ISOMs to him to be added to the pass. KB and I can work through PMs if that's necessary to square things away. Sound good?

Edit: Just looked in the humi. Looks like I've got another Trinidad Reyes and a RASS to put into the pass. I'll have them in the mail to Wasch by Wednesday. I'll try to get them in tomorrow if possible, but Wednesday by the latest.

Did I miss something? How do you take 3 Habana's w/o putting one in? I saw the question for 1 shark for a Cohiba, which I didnt see as equal, but 3 Habano's? While this may be cool with the pass host, keep in mind for future passes this won't fly with other hosts.

hmmm...
yeah, I think I've got to agree with emo on this one.
I think that as a general rule, until the embargo is lifted, we're going to have treat ISOM puts and takes as completely separate than those for non-ISOM's.
and since emo's correct about this sort of action not flying in other passes, it's probably just best to consistently stick to the ISOM for ISOM protocol.

Please don't add anything extra to the pass. I think that violates the spirit of the pass. I don't want it 'fixed'. I would prefer it to be what it is and evolve on it's own. I certainly will say for my part I am not starving for ISOM right now. I think the only right thing is if KB rethinks this and wants to change things fine. Otherwise keep it going, live and learn.

When you set the pass in motion you did all you should do as host except for monitoring p and t.

Alright,
I'll be changing my p's and t's tonight. I thought the thought of a pass was to get cigars which you've never tried before. According to my looking on the internet, I thought they equaled up. I'm not wanting to be a evil man. I did ask before and he told me to check with you guys. Change them later. Sorry all.

???

hey K-Boy, definitely no reason to apologize! you've done nothing wrong. your P's and T's indicate that you were up to nothing "evil", per se. hell, in a post-embargo situation, some people might even think that your puts were over-generous.
and I think you're correct that one of the ideas (if not the main reason) behind a pass is for participants to try out new (or old!) cigars.
the ISOM for ISOM "rule" is just a current circumstance beyond the straight-up (approximate) value for value.
probably not a rule I would've come up with, to be honest, but then I don't make the rules...I just try to follow them.

and Mojo, it was generous for you to offer to add in more ISOMS for the sake of the remaining participants. obviously it won't be necessary now anyway, but I agree with hudsonvalley. probably would've been fine to just let it go laissez-faire style.;)

I applaud the communication in this pass, though. it's what keeps drama from unfolding and becoming a spectacle for the entire community.

Ok, first off,
I am truely sorry for slowing this pass down in anyway. I did wait this weekend to talk to Mojo and get your feedback before caring on. I'm truely sorry. In the past trades on one other pass I've down, I've looked at value. It sounds cheap, but I don't want to cheap anyone else. I usually try to look online if they are avaiable to me, and match them up like that. I never thought about cubans. I've only smoked 5, and I thought I'd try some while I had the chance. I'm very sorry again guys, and if theses p's and t's are a problem let me know.

I can't imagine that you're going to receive any complaints for being selfish, that's for sure! :)

 Good communication makes for a happy CP. :-)

Ok, I missed out on my "free" time lastnight. Just so I understand, there are no suplemental sticks coming my way, right?

When I get the pass, Big100HD and I will be meeting up to do our P/T's concurrently. This may take a few days to coordinate due to his holiday "Commitments" but should still be as quick if not quicker than mailing.

Looks good!, way to figure things out together. Will be waiting with great anticipation as soon as Wasch & Big 100 receive this baby.

Glad to see it all worked out. Excellent communication!

Yep, no extra sticks coming your way Wasch.

Tracking is 03903491811000003958 . Thanks for the back up on the p's and t's.

What would it be like to be a "cigar pass"? I mean, think of it. You start off in your nice humidor, and one morning, you find out, you're not wanted, or there's too many like you around. Then zipped in a zip lock bag, and stuck in with alot of others, just like you. No longer needed. Then you get a bumpy ride to some strangers house, where I pull you out, cut you up, and smoke you down. Man, cigars are cool.

That was almost poetic :0 :(
Does this mark the anniversary of your divorce, have a bit to drink tonight, or find out you had a humi full of gar beetles?

hmmmm

Not married but dating the same girl for 6 years, so no divorce.

If my humi was full of beetles, you'd hear me crying no matter how far away you are!

So yes, i'd had a few tonight lol. I just think it's so nuts that they travel so far and you get such a different assortment than the begining.
