Holts: which location to visit

Walnut Street is their flagship store and the nicest shop in Philly (IMHO). The location on Townsend is their HQ which recently opened a retail store.
 
After you see the place, take a quick trip to South Philly and visit Liberty Smokes. It's not as much of an attraction but the renovated shop is comfortable and the atmosphere there is.... well.... errr... different.

If you go there, say hello to Mike for me...

Go to the one in the city, the other is a very small store...very small. Walnut St. store has a nice lounge and a good selection. Enjoy a drink above a Mahog's as well brother. Good luck with your trip.

Actually Geoff is right, I love going to the smoke shop. I don't go there as often as I would like though LOL. Chris is a great guy who shows all his customers a great smoking experience. Very friendly shop.

Chris is a great host and has a top notch shop. I have to pay a visit as it has been a long time.

Good call.. I have to agree here. Philly Smoke Shop is a small place but Chris is a cool cat.
 
Philly smoke shop is def a place I am visiting, but I think I will swing by Holtz just to see the place. But Philly Smoke Shop is where I will actually light up and stay for a few smokes. :cool:

By the way if anyone in the area wants to meet up Thursday evening or Friday afternoon please let me know :thumbs:

Gee, I didn't know you were a gumba. Hold a grudge for a long time, eh. ;) Go to the Walnut St. store. It's historical. 'Ol Doc bought his first box of premium cigars there. Tell 'em I sent ya. You can also mention, that I'm deeply disappointed in them. "You broke my heart, Fredo."

This is a reference to Holt's poor taste in dissing Ernesto in their monthly mag. I agree with the sentiment. Also, if you get a chance, swing by 10th and Tasker and check out The Twin Shoppe. South Philly cigar store with great selection, prices, and group of cigar lovers that will make you feel at home. The opposite of the center city experience!
