Hi to all . Ive been in the cigar biz since the mid-1980's as rep, trade show displayer, and writer for (among others) SMOKE MAG. Love to share my st

BF... dick swing was not on my mind... not knowing dick about your crew... I wanted to elevator pitch on first available lines.
Really wanted to reach a member looking for Vol 1 CI and SMOKE mags. I have multiple copies of both as well as complete collections for at least first 10 years... Ron

What a nice gesture. How many of each issue were you wanting to contribute to the board?

I hope that you see that we are a very welcoming bunch. However a lot of us have been around for a long time and in that time we have seen countless amounts of new folks do this same stuff: they come I. All full of themselves, full of ego and outright ignorance the rules and customs of the forum. Those folks all leave and the ones who listen more and post less and who don’t make it about them stick around. Oddly enough, it’s very much like how people make friends in the real world or act when they go to another’s house. Those same skills are transferable to here.
Btw, nice thing you did to @drunkfish3.
To quote Frank Zappa...Some people do it; some see right through it; and some wear po'jamas if they only knew it... po'jama people.... Ron

I had one of those - and a Nikon Coolpix. Both were very adequate, but really enjoyed using the Canon Rebel T7 (recently sold) and now using a Nikon D7100 with a nice variety of lenses. Both take amazing pictures and had much better control than the Powershot and Coolpix.
I've been using a D7000 for about 10 yrs now, give or take. I bought it after we moved to Germany and realized that I needed a camera that was worth a crap to shoot all the travel we had started doing. I'll be honest and tell you that my favorite photo I've ever taken was with a Pentax point-and-shoot, but that thing just wasn't cutting it as my "tourist camera".

Does the forum cover freight, handling, duties and taxes from northern Alberta?
@xyz123 you called it man on the HERF. They always come in hot like this and then try to sell people something. It’s never to actually be part of the community they always want to peddle something. Or maybe that was @jfields. Can’t remember who said it. Either way it was true

There it is..

Here’s my opinion: Sell your shit on eBay and come back if you decide you want to actually contribute to this amazing community. If you’re looking to impress people here, do it with your character, not your credentials.

Wasn't me.. but he was absolutely right!

K... found out a long time ago that you really got to know what your shooting and take along just 1 or 2 lenses to do the job. I don't want to be schlepping 40 kilos of kit to shoot tree frogs :))
My first paid shot was on Canon A1 in 1970.
Next camera purchase was Minolta Vectis 40 APS film in 1998. WOW..what a trooper! Huge versatility...zoom, format sizing .. 4x6, 5x7, and really cool 3:1 pano.
Also drop in film cartridges that will remember where you left off on the roll.
Neat trivia... 400 film has the equivalent of a 76 mega pixel digital SLR. Important to me as my favorite print format is 12 x 36 inches.
My local terrain is the Drumheller Valley in Alberta that has been used as 'other worldly' locations for movies like Superman 1. Visit town website.
Only problem now is finding a lab that will process.
Enough for now...breakfast is calling...Ron

That was me, but WI can have credit for it.

HV... who said sell ? I asked about freight and our government's mutual taxation requirements.
You've not only jumped the gun...your in a different time zone.
I've got the equivalent of a ponderosa pine in paper... whose only real value is rolling it up to make 3 hour fire logs or forwarding it to some one for a three day read and new facts.
What do you tithe to your club?
