I still have old Time Warner email addresses and Spectrum has been holding me hostage for too long!

I will be canceling Spectrum which means my business and personal email accounts will be deleted. I am doing everything I can to prepare for it but I am not sure what to get in their place?

What is a good email platform to avoid spam and junk mail, easy to use, simple?

Gmail. I use to have my own domain name and finally got tired of paying for it and switched to Google. Wish I did it 10 years before i did.

Proton is who I will switch to if I ever have to switch again

It's hard not to like the Google platform. My oldest kid is in deep, I use GMail and the Calendar, as well as the GDrive for storage / encrypted backup. We share calendars, it's pretty cool. GMail is solid, seems well scanned for spam and the like, I use it lots. Of course there's no 100% solution for spam, but the guys at Google are doing a credible job.

I've heard people complain about 'security' with Google. Well, let me break it to you.....as Larry Ellison said, you have no privacy, get over it. You can assume that EVERY email, chat, text, etc you ever send will be read / scanned by gosh knows who, several times, on the way to where it's going. The only way around that is to use a fully end to end encrypted system like Signal, but even then, if 'someone' compromises one end point...they've got the keys to the store. I quit running a criminal organization years ago, so it's not a concern to me. If someone really wants to know what I sent my grand kids for their birthday....well, have fun with that. I just don't care, but I also know that if I need to communicate something sensitive, I'll not use the common channels.

This is my opinion, and well worth what you're paying for it......
