A friend of mine brought me this today. I thought it was cool and would share with you.

This cutter has been in his family for three generations. It was his grandfather's. None of his family smoke cigars anymore, so he thought I might enjoy it, and brought it in for me.

Made by Zigarren-Abschneider in Germany. It's a V-Cutter as well as a straight cut, designed for Belicoso and Torpedos. Very Cool.

Thanks Wolfgang.

yeah I got one of those, they are pretty cool. But it just does not fit right in my pocket like a palio does. But that cutter looks like its got a lot of family history behind it. Very nice

Very nice!

A family friend gave me one last year.

It's an antique with history in the MA. area. Very nice.
No leather wrap...nor box...but a letter of from the original owners grand-daughter
and scroll/art work on the handle.

Not as quick as a regluar 2 blade cutter so, I have it displayed with my tobaccoiana!

If only our accessories were made like that today. Where did the days of brass and leather and heirloom quality at a decent price go?

They still make and sell the same cutter with the same quality over here. :) Its called a "Kerbschnitt Zigarrenschneider"

Its not a popular cigar cut in the USA but its very popular here in Europe.

There is even a cigar lighter with a built in 'V' cutter out there.

Very nice gift, I hope you use it, it would be a shame to let it sit and collect dust.

*edit* BTW the other end of the cutter is made to pull out the nails in a box of cigars and slit the paper so you can open it.

I have one in stock for sale at $100.00 Instead of leather mine has antler insted of leather. Gratful 1 has seen it and can proberly put a better name on the material.

Nice cutter Andy. I didn't know good v-cutters were still around. I saw a $10 jobber on Thompson but definitely not the quality of that one.

I've used a V-Cut for years. They are great. Certainly something to hang on to.
