Happy Thread

I went on my daughter's 5th grade field trip to the Concord museum today. They learned about One if by Land and Two if by Sea and the shot heard around the world among other things. They even got to see one of the two lanterns and an original step from the North Church steeple. For 10+ years, I lived diagonally across from Old North Church ( a few block from Revere's house) and saw it out my window often. I went to it a few times and saw Paul Revere's (or heard very it early at daybreak) the reenactment of Revere's ride on Patriot's Day. It was interesting hearing about things from the Concord perspective, and most importantly, the kids had a great time while still learning.

I am at my most peaceful when I am deep in the woods, this was an amazing walk! I am hunting flintlock in the Allegheny Nation Forest and I did a 1.5 mile walk on a couple old well service roads that haven't been used in 30 years. This part of the walk was beautiful! There was a deer track, a coyote track, and a fox track. The hemlock made it nearly dark at 2:45 PM on a bright day.

I'm a museum person, so that sounds amazing -- and you go the daddy/daughter time! <3
