Happy Thread

Movers are done, the house is EMPTY, the house is CLEAN (for once), and the dogs are home from boarding. They are pretty confused as to why things aren't where they left them when we departed last Thursday, but overall they are just as happy to be home as we are to have them back!
 
I'm so proud of my son and daughter-in-law!

My grandson Connor will be five on Sunday and his brother Owen was born three and a half years ago and only lived 3 hours.

My son sent this text message to me this morning.🥲

So this morning Rachel, Madi and I were laying in bed. Connor was playing with his basketball in our room. He has a new thing where he narrates the basketball game he is playing. He keeps throwing the ball up and hitting the ceiling and I hear him saying "I throw the ball up real high so my brother can catch it and he throws it back to me and that's how we play basketball together". 🥲🥲🥲

Well I am doing again what I said I wouldn't do, moving. Which would normally go in the unhappy thread, since moving sucks! But I am getting to move to a house with more land, roughly 3.5 acres, so that makes me happy. I have already negotiated with the Boss that I can build a building, that I can finish out a good portion to become my new man cave that I can actually smoke in. That makes me extremely happy!

We are officially moved, but because we are having the wood floors redone we haven’t unpacked anything and have only moved in our bed to sleep in. Floors will be done today after they finish staining and we can unpack starting Monday. So we are going to friends lake house for the weekend, so we don’t have to live with the fumes. It’s been chaos, but will be worth it in the end.
