About a week ago I drove over to the base in Germany to receive hearing aids (I wrote about ordering them a few month ago). Despite everything else that is wrong with me, hearing aids were just that one bridge too far for me to accept. I can't believe I waited so long to do this -- my quality of life, and the QOL of those around me -- has improved drastically. I watched a movie out in the living room with the family for the first time in as long as I can remember at a reasonable volume and no subtitles. The first few days, it was like my life was in ASMR; I heard EVERYTHING. One of the best decisions I've made, no question.

Today was the puppy's first time seeing snow and he LOVED it! Well, first he had to "moof" at it a couple times but it was on after that.

We got about 6" of fancy rain so far, and no wind so it's stacking up evenly. I only put this in the happy thread in deference to Dog, nothing about snow makes me happy.

My son found out they are having a boy today.
My daughter has given me two amazing grandkids an 11 year old girl and a rambunctious 6 year old boy. But this boy, due in late July, has us all pretty excited as it's their first.

Corporate wouldn’t approve a back of the house bonus based off revenue. But, they are letting me give my staff raises! They have been deserving them.

I’m gonna keep pushing it regardless. Ima let this ‘silence’ me for a few months then bring it up next quarter, because it is definitely an incentive on their part (back of house) when they take part of our patient revenue total. And they are getting worked the hardest when we are fully booked.
