I agree. Jon, I feel you owe the community an apology. I challenge all of you who are piling on here to produce ONE SHRED of evidence that dulaney was anything but a model BOTL in his short and tragic time here. Sure he was condescending and arrogant, sure he didn't listen to countless pieces of advice about rushing into buying things that he had no clue about, sure he he basically told Tone-ny to go screw (it's not like Tone-ny is a pillar of this community or anything) and sure his petulance forced Rod to ban him. But outside of those minor infractions, and things I would wager over 95% of the CP is guilty of, what has he ever done to draw your ire? I await your lavish apology, Jon. :angry:

It's been my experience that folks who have been members for 6 mos or less, shouldn't be judging anyone here. You simply haven't been here long enough to understand the interpersonal relationships that develop in this community. Back when I joined CP, you'd have been made to apologize or run out of here. We're kinder and gentler now, however. BTW, there's no such word as "alot".

Rather than seek the advice of one of the most competent experts there are in Fuente cigars (who happens to be a regular contributor to these forums), Duh-Lamey thumbed his nose at solid advice from multiple fronts. His "know it all" attitude got him sucked into a huge scam that was easily preventable, and cost him thousands of dollars. He insulted many established members that had only good intentions and tried to help.

He deserves any and all of the dirt that gets thrown his way. For you to suggest otherwise is inappropriate and speaks of your complete lack of knowledge of the situation.

I have to say calling someone a "piece of shit" goes against the grain with me. Quite often we extol the virtues of our "community" here. I find it difficult that someone who is part of a community would refer to a current or past member as such. It brings the community down and, dare I say, even cheapens it. CP has a great community. I would hope those of us who have been around for a few years could remind our members of past transgressions without resorting to name calling. Dulaney screwed up and his arrogance cost him his CP card....and a lot of money.

We should always remember what happened and how to prevent it going forward, but taking the high road from time to time isn't a bad idea.
