Thanks for all the well wishes. Yes, I had a great ride yesterday. Turned out only 4 of got up early enough (0700 departure) enjoy the ride. We went up through VA, WV, MD & PA, our destination was the Flight 93 crash site.
Although it was a hot day in the 90's, we stayed cool on the tree covered back roads. We stopped by Shadow's shop (
King Street Coffee & Tobacco) in Martinsburg, Picked up some Opus X, Nr 4's and a nice 3 pack of Robusto's in a nice Opus x in a tin. Thanks, Bill.
When we finally arrived at the site, my friends took in the memorial and the lecture given by the volunteers. I pulled out a special Cigar to honor our Fallen hero's. There is no smoking at the temporary memorial, so I walk up to the top of the hill overlooking the memorial and the crash site and enjoyed a 2004 Camacho Liberty in thier honor.
(Sorry Bill, the Opus will wait for another day.)
Our day ended with a little over 350 miles for the day and a stop at our local watering hole. Where my Opus #4 capped the night with a few Yager Bombs.
Hawk and Junkman, I'll see you at the BBQ. I'll keep the Tin of Robusto's intact till then.
AVB, I hope to hook up with you during the "York open house" in Sept. I always enjoy your beverage reviews and your never ending stories whenever we get together (which has been a while).
BrewMeister, I tried calling whenever I pop into the
Union Cigar Club in Gettysburg. My favorite Cigar spot when I'm in town. Sorry it's short notice but we never know where we end up on a ride.
HudsonVally, we'll have that celebratory cigar when I'm up for next herf.
again, thanks everyone.
