Hammock sleeping

I can't skip this thread anymore....
If @CigarStone and @jfields sleep in hammocks while camping together, does that make them swingers?
Yes, but much like a nude beach, it's never as good as you imagine it to be.

If you had read the post you would know that I tie my hammock down. I have heard some strange noises coming from the other side of the camping area toward John's hammock 😁

Okay, so swingers with optional strap-on's then? :D

I’ve had at least one girl friend fall out of a hammock. A hammock doesn’t work quite as well as a bed when you are “sleeping “. She felt embarrassed.

@CigarStone sent me a text as I was driving to the park last night to meet up with him. I quickly read it while trying to focus on driving, and legit thought he said he forgot the condoms. I had a WTF! moment for a second.

As a noob, Im just beginning to see how witty you guys are. This is hilarious! I have to say @Nihon_Ni is correct. Nude beaches are better in your mind or on TV than in real life.

When in the AF I used to deploy to Greece regularly. On a day off at the beach, watching the topless Scandihoovian girls batting a beach ball around in knee-high water, a topless Greek grandmother would stroll across your field of vision and that was that. Needed the eye bleach.

“OK, boys, back to base, this isn’t fun anymore.”

Seriously, though, on the topic of hammocks, I haven't camped in several years, but I gave up the tent, air mattress, and all that for a hammock about 10 years ago. I used one of those hammocks that roll up into a small pouch, strung between two trees. Run a paracord a couple of feet above it and just raise a simple tarp over it. Same 2 trees.

I'd put one of the military closed cell foam pads in it and sleep in it diagonally across it. They are about 5-6 feet wide at their widest and you'll swing and get tossed out of it if you sleep in line with the hanging lines. But you sleep diagonally across it and you don't flip at all. True, I don't move much when I sleep, if I go to sleep on my left side, I'll wake up that way in the morning. But I used to sleep like a baby in it and it was pretty stable.

This is what I mean by sleeping diagonally across it (not me in the pic, from the web). I'd have the closed cell foam pad under me and get in my sleeping bag, and good to go! Very comfy and stable. If you don't move much in your sleep. If you're a tosser and turner, a hammock probably is not for you.

This is how I'd end up, but I didn't have that fancy tarp. Just a rectangular one or even a poncho.
