damn. I was looking forward to having a few beers and smokes with you Justin. The tasting group is getting smaller and smaller.
 
That's a bummer Justin but you gotta take care of business at home. There is always next year and the year after that and the year after that!

Oh oh. I might be out also.

We were suppose to go live this wed with a new system at the hospital and now we are not. Looks like it is being pushed back 4-6 weeks. Which would land on the dates of GABF. And we are being told no vacation time for this go-live once again. I had already canceled my vacation for this weeks go live. So Im hoping they allow me to keep GABF dates since they already inconvenienced me once. :( .

NOOOOOOOOOOOO ... stick it to the man!
Man I screwed up cause I fell in this same predicament....I could have said I already bought airline tickets or I could have said I am gonna work from home these 2 days. I thought of these excuses after the fact ... Man this sucks! :angry:
 
My Goose Island Source says that Juliet is sitting in the tanks right now. So they should be bottled in the next few weeks.
Hopefully I get my hands on some to ship to Jonas for the tasting.

Also any interest in Moaten? It is 2 Brothers Brewery from Il and Urthel From Belgium collaboration beer. It is labeled as an "oak aged sour flemish style red ale" Not sure if it is available outside of Illinois.

I found it to be too bitter right now. Not as good as the ones on your list. But I can pick up 2 bottles to ship. Not bad for a Flemish Red.
 
Ok I am 100% back in. Bosses said they wont make me cancel my trip again. Now all I need is a ticket for Thursday event.. *cough cough* JONAS!!

Great news, Alex! Just got a call from Cory (bluedragon) and it looks like he is in too! Tickets are sold out at the liquor stores around town but he said they are still available online. Get on that!
 
Cool. Just picked up my tickets. Didn't realize they went with ticket bastard!! I was able to print out my ticket so I guess that is sort of a plus. So I am officially all set.! Now do we have any idea whats on the agenda?

What time are we meeting at the convention center?

When I get in, I think I am going to check in to the hotel and have lunch and a beer at Rock Bottom. Or if a local can suggest a bar with good stuff on tap. I might check that out.
 
For all you lucky ass's who are going to GABF I need a favor ... if anyone could grab me a bottle or 2 of Odell 90 Shilling Ale and Bourbon Aged Stout from Odell Brewing Company. Hopefully if anyone wonders into a store that has this, hopefully you will be thinking of me :thumbs: :D

I have been looking at the Brewer Index and hitting myself, hope you all have a blast.
Take lots of drunken pictures and notes on some of the brews to look for. :thumbs:

If I was going I would have loved to get to try from these breweries:
- Captain Lawrernce Brewing Co
- Deschutes Brewery
- Iron Hill Brewery
- Boulevard Brewing Co
- Cigar City Brewing
- Terrapin Beer Co
- Foothills Brewing

So if any of you get a chance, try to fill up a couple of empty water bottles, screw on the caps and send them my way =) :blush: :blush: :blush: :rolleyes:

Gentlemen, it sounds like we will be having our Saturday afternoon HERF and tasting @ Casa De Matt. Details to follow. Mike, your box arrived and I am sure the boys are going to dig the beers you sent, you are the man!

Also, the weather here has been interesting lately. We had snow yesterday and expect more tomorrow morning. I would suggest dressing in layers as it tends to change fairly quickly and the convention center is typically pretty warm.
