Got to meet up with SmokinSims

I've been on the road a lot, the past few weeks. Fit in a trip to see my Mom. 84 years young, and still going strong.
I remembered that SmokinSims (James) lives about 40 miles from her, so I contacted him, and we made plans to meet.
 
We met a a pretty decent cigar bar. Large, fairly well stocked humidor, full bar, and not too loud.
James drove a good 40 miles which I really appreciate. We both bought and smoked Illusione cg4 that looked like they had a bit of age on them.
I enjoyed mine. It smoked well, with a nice nutty element coming through, and burned razor sharp the whole length.
 
We shared good conversation on life, jobs, food, beer, kids, art, and more. Nice to talk intelligently, with someone, on such a variety of my interests.
James even sent me home with a bit of tobacco goodness which I had no idea existed. Plan on torching that tonight!
 
Thanks for making the drive, and thanks for a nice, relaxing, few hours break from the norm. Hope we get a chance to do it again someday.

Always great meeting up with CP folks! Sounds like you both had a very good time.
 
Man, I wished I could say the the same about Rob300c, all this guy talks about is hot sauce :laugh:

Well, in defense of Rob300c....what else is as important, in life?
 
if he didn't bring any Dark Lord for you, you got screwed Dan.  Good to hear you guys had a good time.
 
Sounds like a blast, herfing with brothers is always a great time.

That is very cool. I just called Paul earlier this evening as I remembered the first smoke we had together was after I visited my accountant three years ago.
 
Can we say bromance.  :love:
 
It's very nice to meet up with fellow CP members.  Capt J and I have met up several times and hope to again this weekend.
 
It was great meeting you as well Dan. We are likely to take you up on your offer of dinner. The job I was talking about with you got number to me on Thursday and it seems it will work. The only major hurdle left is if my wife keeps her job.

That's good to hear. Hopefully your wife's situation will work out too.
If you do decide on dinner, just give me a good 1 or 2 week notice.
