I have 2 Google Voice invites if anyone's interested. First posts get 'em.

GV will let you choose a new phone number from nearly anywhere in the country and then you can program your cell, home, work, etc. numbers behind that single number. GV will ring them all when someone calls your GV number. I use it mainly to provide a local Michigan number to my TN number cell phone. It'll also allow me to change my cell number whenever I want and so long as everyone is using my GV number, nothing ever changes for them.

You can send SMS online, get text messages or email of voice mail and some other things, if you're into that kind of thing. :)

ETA: Oh, yeah, if you're in the military and have a .mil address, you can sign up via here to get your own invite.

ETA2: You'll need to sign up for a Google account in order to use this, btw. Just wanted to make sure that was out there - some people don't want to sign up with Google. :)

I don't need an invite, but I am telling everyone that doesn't have the service to jump on this offer, especially if you have a real need for people to get ahold of you. I am loving Google Voice. I have one number that I am routinely giving out to people that I transfer to my cell, my office, and/or my Skype number. I feel alot better giving this number out anymore than my cell, especially, because I can block numbers alot easier than on my cell with Google Voice.

Not a salesman or anything, but this is a great service offered by Google. One of 250 or so services Google now has.

Yeah, I'm kinda surprised there's not more action on this. Unless people aren't familiar with it. It's pretty darn nifty. Google Wave ain't too shabby either.
