Very sorry for your loss Gavin. It's hard to understand the loss unless you have been there.
I'm really sorry to hear Gavin. She was an amazing dog, I definitely loved her. How is the wife taking it?Gavin said:I know a few of you had met her. Suffice it to say, we put the senior dog in our pack to sleep last night. Lilly was a Basenji, a barkless dog, but that doesn't mean she was quiet. She would yodel when she was really excited, and give you a piece of her mind if you ever touched her tail or woke her up when she wanted to sleep. She was a real character. I use a space heater in my man cave, and she would always curl up as close to it as possible to leech all the warmth she could. It will be weird not seeing her there. At almost 15 years old she had a good long life, but that doesn't make it any easier.
That's rough man, real rough. We need to get together this week for a smoke. Do you have my new number? 951-529-8223. Text me or call me and we will set a night herf up since I'm back in overnight shift. It's been TOO long man. Id like to be there with you in this difficult time. Losing a lifelong friend like that is never easy man... My condolences again to you and the Mrs. Maybe hold a two man "In Memory" type herf?Gavin said:She's ok. We're catching ourselves in old habits, like filling three dog bowls at dinner time, and realizing we only need two. It comes and goes.
