Good morning all, coffee is on and I'm gonna fry up some eggs and bacon in a little bit. Since the weather is going to be in the 60s today, Beth and I are taking the day off and catching the train to the City. We're gonna stop at Nat Shermans, Davidoff, and probably JRs since we'll be in mid-town. We are going to most likely have dinner at Catherina's Hungarian Restaurant:

and then stop in one of the local establishments (cigar friendly) and enjoy a stogie or two with a couple of cold ones. We probably won't have to many warm days like this again in January so we might as well take advantage of it. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys it as well...... :) :thumbs: :cool:
 
Good morning all and yes as always, the joe is brewin'. Well, if there was a day to take off and walk through Manhattan, yesterday was the perfect one. Temps were in the upper 60s and the day was perfect. Beth and I stopped in a number of establishments and toured the city well. We received a private tour of the new Nat Shermans facility on the corner of 42nd and 5th Avenue. Thier cigar lounge down stairs should be complete mid Febuary baring no contractor difficulties. It's a beautiful shop and a must see when your in the City. Also, we got to see the last day of the tree lighting in Rockerfeller Center as they were preparing to take that down as well. Anyway, I hope all of you have a great day and you enjoy a favorite or two while this great weather holds up........ :) :thumbs: :cool:

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on. Another record setting weather day up here in NY yesterday with temps in the mid to upper 60s. To bad this can't last for the entire winter but as we all know eventually, the snow and cold is coming back. Anyway, being that it's Thursday, we'll be at Schlesinger's this evening enjoying cigars and a couple of cold ones as always. If your in the area, stop on by if you have the time. If not, enjoy yourselves and smoke a favorite or two as well........ :) :thumbs: :cool:
 
Good morning all and TGIF!!! The coffee is brewin' and I'll be headin' over to the West Point Dining Facility (mess hall) shortly for some good Army chow. Well, last night was another great night at Schlesinger's filled with all the characters in attendance and we enjoyed primo stogies and cool drinks. I hope everyone has a great weekend and you get to relax with a favorite cigar or two or three or...... :) :thumbs: :cool:
 
Good morning all and as always, the coffee is on. It looks to be that today will be quite relaxing as I asked Beth what are plans are for today and she said that we really don't have much going on. So, I can see cigars, cool drinks and tastey treats all day. I do want everyone to know that didn't get a chance to see the Quad State Herf III post is that we are now at the max number of 85 guest. As I stated, if you still want to attend let me know and I'll put you on a stand by list and work with you on a case by case basis. Everyone says that I'm easy but not cheap, lol :D . I hope everyone has a super Saturday and enjoys it as well....... :) :thumbs: :cool:
 
Happy Saturday everyone! Its been a long week, but I dont have to work today. The coffee is marinating in the french press, this morning its DD original blend. Not bad stuff, and with a little sugar, it hits the spot. I have a Herf today up in Balitmore that I'm looking forward too, and then meeting up with some buddies at Dave & Busters latter for a little video/beer/more guy time. Well, today looks to be a lot like yesterday filled with relation time, cigars, cool drinks and football. Good morning all and yes, the coffee has been on since roughly 0345. Since they were predicting a good snow fall and i work for the Garrison Commander here at West Point, we had a scheduled adverse weather condition conference call. Presently, we are at "Code Red" till 1000 but we will have another conference call at 0800 to update things and see how the weather changes:

USMA Snow Policy (Non-emergency positions)

"WEST POINT IS CODE RED UNTIL (slated time)" Employees should not report until the announcement time. Supervisors will excuse absences without charge to leave for all employees affected whether or not leave was previously approved. Employees who do not report for work by the announced time will be charged leave for the remainder of their absence if it was properly requested and approved.

So from now till 0800, I'll be kickin' back checkin' out all the cigar boards and gettin' paid for it, :D . Oh well, here's to a new week and I hope everyone has a good one....... :) :thumbs: :cool:

Things are coming along great and I'm sure that this will be another great event which will benifit another great "Cause". I've got classes all morning (annual government requirement) and hopefully I don't fall asleep during the middle of them so I better bring a large coffee with me. Good morning Charlie! Well last night was a biggie! I became the MAYOR of Newcastle. What a rush. I little more responsibility but I am looking forward to the challenge.

The coffee is rich and hot. We have a listing appointment tonight with some neighbors and I still have a projects I am closing out since coming back from vacation. We still have a lot of black ice in and around the area so going on the road ways in the am is pretty dangerous. Schools are on snow alert and running 2 hrs late so its going to throw a little havoc into the morning chores.

Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on as always. First off, congrats on your new position Benji, sounds pretty good, "Mayor Benji". I'm sure that you'll do a great job at it. I also got a little promotion myself here at West Point. I went from an Operations Assistant for the Garrison Commander to the Current Operations Officer in the Installation / Emergency Operation Center. USMA Snow Policy (Non-emergency positions)

"WEST POINT IS CODE WHITE UNTIL (stated time, or, all day)." The West Point Snow Policy is in effect until the stated time, or all day. Employees, who might be prevented from reporting to work, should be granted annual leave, accrued compensatory time or LWOP if they prefer. Employees still need to contact their supervisor for approval. Specific procedures for requesting leave in these circumstances are at the discretion of each activity.

Either way, I have to go into the Installation Operations Center as I have certain reports to print out for our Director for today's Command & Staff Call. I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable day. Smoke a favorite or two if you get the chance as well....... :) :thumbs: :cool:
 
Good morning all and yes, the coffee is on. I'm about to fry up some eggs, bacon and all the rest that goes with a hearty breakfast to get the day started. I was going to go down to the Herf at JimD's Tobacco Shop (Asylum St Hartford) but instead I'll be headin' to the Newark Airport to pick up my niece and her husband with thier two kids. I hope you all have a great time and smoke some primo sticks. I did go to Schlesinger's Cigar Bar last night with Beth and we enjoyed a few cold ones with thier famous Pub Burger. During Happy Hour I smoked an Ashton VSG Illusion which made it an even better evening. Anyway, I hope everyone has a super Saturday and get to smoke a couple of thier favorites....... :) :thumbs: :cool:
 
Good morning boys! 8:40 am here. The coffee shop has been open since 8:00 am, we've got about 20+ coffee swilling fools in this morning chomping on their morning bagel (with a schmeer) and reading the news paper.

Gonna be cold today with a high of 15? so we should have a good crowd until we close at 7:00 pm.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far! I know I am. ;)
 
Good morning all. Enjoying a morning cup of coffee w bagel. Last night spent an evening with friends, capped off with an Ilusione 888, scotvh and hot tub soak. Couldn't have been better.

Good morning all. Here in Des Moines it's a balmy -10F as we head out to church. Not windchill mind you, but actual temp. It's great to be alive!!!!
