Good Morning S / BOTL - 2013

Good morning all, the coffee is on as always and it's Friday! We had a good time last night at Schlesinger's, the place was packed and all. This weekend sports wise, the MLB will be finishing up their Spring Season; college basketball championship is almost complete as well; and the NASCAR drivers are in Martinsville, VA. Enjoy everyone, smoke a favorite or two or....... :D
 
Good morning everyone, the coffee has been on since 0420 and it's back to work Monday. Beth and I had a good weekend: we relaxed Friday evening at home; Saturday, I went to the cigar shop in the morning and then we went to a dear friend's 60th birthday party which was outstanding; yesterday after doing some shopping, we came home and relaxed again. The NASCAR races were postponed until today as a result of a snow storm that blew through Virginia. Enjoy your week all, the MLB regular season starts this Thursday....... :)

Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's already "Hump Day". It's been a busy day at the office the past couple of days with changing out computers and all. Hopefully, things will slow down a bit and get back to normal soon. Anyway, enjoy your day everyone and remember to be safe out there....... ;)
 
Good morning everyone, the coffee is on as always and it's Friday! Beth and I had a great day at the Mets "Opening Day" yesterday, we took the bus with 22 others from the Newburgh Brewery. We had plenty of beer and food and the ride back and forth was great. Congrats to both New York teams for winning, this maybe a good sign this year. Anyway, I hope all of you have a relaxing Easter weekend and all........ :D
 
Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's snowing again. West Point is Code "Red" until 0900 (9am) as the weather guessers are calling for roughly 4" of the white stuff between now and then. We had a very nice weekend, stopped in a new BBQ place for us in Modena, NY - John Fazio Farms & BBQ:

Yesterday, Beth and I had a nice Easter brunch at home and then headed over to her sister's house for dinner. Sports wise, the Yankees split the series with the Blue Jays and will have their home opener this evening. Enjoy your week everyone and definitely be careful out there this morning........ :)
 
Good morning all, the coffee has been on since 0420 as always and it's looking like we'll have a wet one here in the Hudson Valley today. Yesterday's Yankees home opener got snowed out (yes, I said snowed out) and today it may possibly be rained out. Keeping my fingers crossed that the 1605 (4:05 pm) start time will happen but it doesn't look good according to the hourly chart on NOAA:

Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's Hump Day. Congrats to the Yankees for a big win in yesterday's home opener with a final score of 11 - 4 over the Rays. They'll be back at it today at 1305 (1:05 pm) and hopefully the rain doesn't affect the start again. Enjoy everyone and be safe out there....... :)

Good morning everyone, the Killer Beans coffee is on and it's Friday! We had a good night at Schlesinger's, the place was packed all. Too bad the Yankees didn't win, they left too many players stranded on bases. They are back at this evening starting at 1905 (7:05 pm), lets hope they win it tonight. The NASCAR drivers are in Texas this weekend after a week off for Easter. Enjoy your weekend all, smoke a couple and relax as well....... :D

The NASCAR racers start at 1400 (2 pm) today in Texas, I'll be switching channels for sure if I'm not out with Beth at a local establishment. Good morning all, the coffee has been on since 0420 and it's back to work Monday. We had a good day yesterday checking out a couple of new breweries to us. The first being Defiant Brewing Company in Pearl River, NY and the other being Industrial Arts Brewing Company in Garnerville, NY. Both had tasty beers and very different in their own style. We finished up the day having dinner at a new Mexican restaurant in our neighborhood, El Jalapeno Charro in New Windsor, NY. Great day overall, too bad the Yankees lost 8 - 7 in the 12th inning, at least the Mets won for Beth. My least favorite driver Kyle Busch too the checkered flag in yesterday NASCAR race, not a fan of "Rowdy" Busch. Anyway, enjoy your week everyone and smoke a few of your favorites throughout it...... ;)
 
Good morning all, the coffee is on as always and the light snow that NOAA predicted never came (thank goodness). Tonight the Yankees take on the Red Sox of the first of a three game series in Boston. I'd be happy if they take 2 out of 3 and be ecstatic if they can sweep em'. I see that the Mets won again, that makes 7 straight now for them. Enjoy everyone and lets go Yankees...... :)

Last night's Yankees vs. Red Sox game turned into a brawl as the benches emptied and the field was full of players. At the end, the Yankees won 10 - 7 and have the final game this evening at 1900 (7 pm) of the the series:

The Yankees came up short last night losing to the Red Sox 6 - 3, tonight they'll take on the Tigers in Detroit. The NASCAR drivers are in Bristol, TN this weekend, one of my favorite tracks for sure. Enjoy your weekend all and smoke a favorite or two or...... :D
 
Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's back to work Monday. Beth and I had a good weekend overall; Saturday, we got a lot of Spring cleaning done and then we barbecued; yesterday started off with going to Mavis Tire which was supposed to only be 4 new tires for the Jeep. Ended up with new tires, new rear brakes which included rotors and rear shocks as well. Glad I got it done, got a lot of miles ahead of us in the next few months. Sports wise, the Yankees have been rained out the past 2 days, the Mets won yesterday and the NASCAR race was halted because of rain as well and will continue today at 1300 (1 pm) on FOX. Good morning everyone, the coffee is on as always and it's looking like we'll have another wet weather day today. A huge congrats to the Yankees as they won 12 - 1 last night over the Marlins. These two teams will be back at it this evening at 1835 (6:35 pm). It was not so good for the Mets as they blew a 6 - 1 lead and lost to the National 8 - 6. Congrats to Kyle Busch (not one of my favorite drivers) for taking the checkered flag in yesterday's NASCAR race in Bristol, TN. Anyway, enjoy all and Go Yankees....... :D

Good morning everyone, the coffee has bee on for a while and I'm going to the office soon as we have our annual Full Scale Exercise on West Point today starting at 0700 (7 am). This evening we'll be at Hudson Valley Cigars / Schlesinger's Cigar Bar relaxing and watching the Yankees game which starts at 1835 (6:35 pm). Congrats to the Mets on their comeback win last night with an 8th inning 9 run rally. Enjoy........ ;)

Wasn't a good evening for the Mets, lets hope they both win tonight. The NASCAR drivers are in Richmond, VA this weekend with night races tonight and tomorrow evening.
