Sounds good. This is going to be interesting. Alex, just to make sure, here is a list of the potential beers. Will add as neccesary. [bold = can get or have it........italics = trouble getting it or don't have it]

Alesmith Speedway Stout
Alpine Boris
Deschutes The Abyss
Dogfish Head World Wide Stout
Goose Island County Bourbon Stout
Great Lakes Blackout Stout (barrel-aged?)
Hoppin' Frog B.O.R.I.S.
Founders Breakfast Stout

Oskar Blues Ten Fiddy
Stone Imperial Russian
Surly Darkness
Three Floyds Dark Lord

Any other suggestions?

Once we get a full list of beers (probably 10-12), we (alex and I) will taste them all blind, and write up full reviews of each, and essentially order them from our #1-however many we have (each of us will have our own list). I'm sure we will judge with a standard scale, meaning, beeradvocate's or ratebeer's.

I will start a new topic in the Beer section in a few days with the updated list. Thanks to those who have helped out with the list!

**edited to add: This is going to be very interesting, especially for me, because I consider myself a beer snob (hehe :whistling: ) and already have reviews written up on over 1/2 of these. Let's see how consistent I actually am when I have no labels to work off of (including recipes in my head with these different beers)

So last week the keg ran dry so I had a request out for a couple of different beers and the one that came in was the DogFish Head 60. Not my favorite beer but a damn good, well balanced IPA. I was happy with it although I was hoping to get something that would absolutely destroy me with hops..

Today I get back from a trip and have a message from my beer guy "Jonas, I have another keg for you, if its still full bring the DFH back. Trust me."

So I head over with the DFH 60 and oh mama, there she is.. A 16 gallon keg of Russian River Blind Pig! Just last week I was talking with a buddy about how that would be my ultimate keg. This beer is nothing short of being raped by copious amounts of hops. Its like chewing a handful of those bitter, grassy flowers until you can't see straight!!

Anyway, had to share my wonderful beer day with you all.

So Jonas what are you replacing Blind Pig with? We all live vicariously through you   :whistling:

Don't remind me, I am still in denial that the pig is really gone.. :(

I don't want to spoil the surprise but there is a chance the next keg may be of Roman decent... :whistling: :whistling:

You wouldn't dare! Jonas...don't do it...don't...it's not fair to the rest of us...
