I see that the God of Fire is being released shortly, big ad in Cigar Aficionado. I just walked over to Barclay-Rex who will be one of the chosen few and even they couldn't give me anything on release date and pricing. He did show me all the vitolas they will be carrying, but only had one brochure so he couldn't let me have it.

Okay out there any word on the actual release date and pricing structure?

Are the God of Fire's even worth it, I have seen them going for 25 to 50 dollars a peice and was wondering?

I emailed they guys at God of Fire and got the following response:

"Thank you for your interest in our cigars. Currently, the 2005 cigars are not available until October. When they are available, you will be able to find them at authorized God of Fire dealers and also at some non God of Fire dealers. Please visit the below link for a list of authorized dealers."

The list of retailers is very small. The website is worth a look for those interested. God of Fire

If anyone lives near these retailers and wants to do a group buy or box split please PM me.

The isssue I have is there is no place to find out what MSRP for this line of cigars is so no way to know how badly your getting gouged!

That is a short freakin' list.

If they add a Houston dealer, I'd be willing to do the foot-work. It would probably be either SeriousCigars or The Briar Shop and I got to both fairly regularly.

I just finished going to the NYC dealer and they were as useful as tits on a bull.

I live near the Mass dealer and can stop in and ask. I will report back what i find. Are the God Of Fire a Fuente product or something else?

I forgot to mention the price of the 2005 humidors is 2500 for 40 cigars (2004 GOF Piramdes).

Glad to see Heroes on that list... unfortunately, the members usually horde all this stuff the minute it falls off the truck. I'll keep an eye out for them, but definitely not counting on anything.

Oddly enough, Houston rarely gets a piece of this action. They're a much larger city... seems more logical than Austin, IMO. Not that I'm complaining... :)

There is a place near to where I live, that I might be able to check out. Although it's closer to Fetterjohn :p

If you ask Andrew (moki) nicely he is the one person I would bet on that could get the retail prices for you.

I figured he would be the one to have the info, so I'll wait for his answer.

God forbid anything ever good makes its way up even near Northern California. I guess they figure we have the capital and Arnold . . . what else do we need.?

:angry2:

I smoked the Carlito one on my birthday this past august. Not a bad cigar at all, I didn't pay for it so that didn't play into it. I'd pay 15 for one, but 30+ is WAY too much, IMHO. Give it time and wait for the big release.

I'd like to try these but I don't think I'll be getting them from NY. Tobacco tax is really high in NY, right?

37% of wholesale + state tax (~8.5%)

My guy is on that list.

I will have to start bugging him.

I guess I can start tommorw via the phone and then in person when I see him at the TAA.

Wow, I clicked on the link thinking there was no way that a shop in KY would be on the list. To my surprise my shop is! Will try to swing by and get some info as well.

I paid for some and traded them to Atuck...$36 a piece. So if they are cheaper I would gladly pay for them.
