'From man's sweat and God's love, beer came to be.
A while back i posted that a group of cigar enthusiasts were invited to visit the General Cigar facilities, myself included, we were wined and dined. After the entire five days we visited so many parts of the Dominiccan Republic that General has that some of the many parts have been lost in my mind. Good thing we have a dvd of the entire trip. After the trip we were asked to review some future blends that General had in there system, to see which were mild bodied or medium or full.
When the entire process was done we were told that the blend chosen by the group was to be introduced at the cigar trade show and we would be told in due time what blend was chosen and under what name. Today i received a thank you note from Daniel Nunez for the groups effort in helping to find the blend for the Macanudo 1968. Plus a box of Mac 68's robustos to boot. I feel a certain feeling of pride, if only for the reviews i've read online. Thought i'd share.
