The whole thing is really interesting in terms of how quickly so many plots are advancing.
I know we're all hoping for that WHOA episode every time, but I think what we're seeing is a lot of planted seeds. I agree Arya's whole arc there was pretty lame, but if she gains a few "faces" out of it, or at the very least the ability to cut off a face and wear it, then she's got some really intriguing stuff going on. No clue how all that will play in but I think it'll have to be a surprise when we least expect it.
The fact that there are like 3 big battles looming in the next two episodes is also really intriguing. Dany needs to fight the Masters. Jon needs to fight the Boltons. And I'm still convinced the White Walkers are going to breach the wall by the end of this season. Because nothing is more heartbreaking/game changing than that. We just need to see Bran make it past the wall first.
