I'm not for sure, but I'm pretty positive, that cigar shops can't exactly pick out what they get from fuente. that's just how it's set up.

This is true, except for Anejo, Opus, and Maduro Hemmingway. They can request certain sizes, but that's it. Unless of course your guy has a special link to the Fuentes. My guy was actually a business partner with Carlito at one time. But he doesn't get any special treatment when it comes to Opus. Though his shelves always have just about every size Don Carlos and Hemmingway. Not to mention all the Cuesta Reys.

Well, most shops get a two-four shipment of special stuff per year, to my knowledge atleast. It's true certain shops get better than others, but from what i've seen, it's all on what you sell most and your client base. You can request, but it's just that, a request.

Nothing today at my guy except for a couple Sungrown Chateaus. We talked for a bit, and he said that over the last year, the shipments of Sungrowns have diminished. He said right now he gets all the regular line, all the Hemmingways and Don Carlos, but the Sungrowns are now almost as hard to get as the special smokes. Has anyone else seen anything like this?

Funny, I just saw some in a shop here in the southern 'burbs of chicago yesterday.

I think the taxes in IL aren't that great though; I think they were aroun $8 a piece.

ok heres what i was told about fathers day....our second of four shipments of opusx 6 boxes of whatever sizes they wanna send

our opus allotment is 4 shipments 6 boxes

it used to be 3 shipments 8 boxes

thats just what we get. others may get more some less

duhhhh forgot the date...we know 1 day ahead of time when we will be receiving them because we get the invoice in the mail the day before the cigars come off the delivery truck

we do not order fuente they send what they want. we have full line don carlos and hemis,curly head, sungrown and various chateau but its still lottery we get what they send no orders....our mail just happens to get there before the cigars

Anyone know the MSRP for Forbidden X? My store got 1 lousy box of Opus and nothing else. I guess they don't sell enough of the other crap that Fuente makes to get them more. LOL

Box of 2 plus DVD is MSRP $60.00. You can find them for $49.95 - $55.00 pretty often. Tampa Sweethearts sells singles for $23.00 (but you have to buy a box or sampler to get them individually).
