Fuente Father's Day Releases

i saw someone mention to wait for father's day for special release Fuentes, which brings up the point that its less than a month away. does anyone (read Moki) know what date these ship and what will be out this year? i definately remember seeing WOAM's last year, hoping Anejos make into the mix as well. they fly off the shelves even with a 2 stick max, so i want to get there day one to pick up as many as possible. thanks in advance.
 
Nobody really knows a specific date when they are shipped. Check w/ your local retailer and they should have it narrowed w/in a weeks time. Mine knew when it was a few days away last year, but I doubt they know yet.
 
Supposedly, Fuente is going to make it possible for dealers to check on-line when shipments are scheduled. Have no idea if this has been implemented yet. Have not heard anything from my local guy yet, but this seems like a good reason to stop in there today.
 
Even dealers don't know when they are going to get these in unfortunately. It is usually around Christmas and Father's day, though.
 
My guy said he is getting some Fuente Sungrown in along with his regulr stuff. When I asked about the goodies, he said he didn't show anything on the invoice that was faxed to him. But his disclaimer was that sometimes the "goodies" are delivered by the distributer/rep and don't show in the invoice. Hope that helps. I am going to be stopping in every morning until fathers day. I do want to see what Sun Growns he gets.

Well good luck Emo. I know there are boxes of 858SG to be had at Casa Fuente in Vegas.
 
I'll have to check in with SMoker's World in Englewood. They carry a lot of Fuente.

For that matter, there are boxes of pretty much everything at Casa Fuente if you are willing to pay a premium.
 
Generally my shop knows about two to three days ahead of the shipment since the invoice proceeds the shipment.

I just came from my favorite cigar shop. They have tons of Fuentes (Sungrown's all the time!!! :p ) They have one of the best stocks of Opus X and Anejos I've seen and they have no clue what the are getting and when. They said that Fuente just sends them to him as they (Fuente) wish...no heads up. But I did see a large box called "God of Fire". OOOOOOOOHHHHH...God of Fire. Got me one of each. :rolleyes: But they were $34 each. :angry2: Good price for Cali though. What can you do?

I was under the understanding they released Anejos and Maduro Hemis around Chirstmas and Father's Day (i.e. 2x a year)

I'm not for sure, but I'm pretty positive, that cigar shops can't exactly pick out what they get from fuente. that's just how it's set up.

This is true, except for Anejo, Opus, and Maduro Hemmingway. They can request certain sizes, but that's it. Unless of course your guy has a special link to the Fuentes. My guy was actually a business partner with Carlito at one time. But he doesn't get any special treatment when it comes to Opus. Though his shelves always have just about every size Don Carlos and Hemmingway. Not to mention all the Cuesta Reys.
