He and many like him, firefighters included are taken for granted much to often. While my brothers in arms defend my freedom and way of life on foreign soil. These men and women fight to preserve the same in my home front. All to often being taken for granted. It is with pride and much gratitude the I say, May he rest in peace.
Hang in their brother, those whom are kept in our memories and talked about with love are never truely gone.
In Iraq when we lost a buddy us redlegs would gather around his gun piece and pass some 'gars around a smoke one for him in the dark. We would tell stories about him so that he would live inside of us. As long as we live they live. Smoke one for him, 'nuf said.
