Got a $300+ package heading to a great botl, but USPS has decided to F things up  package hass been enroute since the 18th (maybe the 19th, i might have missed the mail that day). Like the dumbass i am, i did not insure, what can i do?

Sorry to here that bro!

I had 3 of them that were delivered the same day to me and I just received them today! So much for priority! But I blame the holidays! All turned out good!

I'm also having an issue right now with a missing package  . DC shows its been delivered but the recipient didn't get it yet. Hope it turns up somewhere.. Its a pretty big package, and I'd be pissed if it went missing!

The USPS strives to attain an 80% success rate. Somebody has got to be in that 20%. You can call the PO and they'll have you fill out a bunch of paper work. Sometimes it works.

Doc.

I would give it a few more days before I call it a lost cause.

I thought USPS lost a BP I was in and it made the whole circuit from IN to God knows where else...and it was only supposed to go one state over. Took a week or so but it finally made it there.

call the 1-800 number and keep hitting 0 or something until you get to a person, last time it took forever, but they were able to look up my $1000 package and tell me where it was. It had gone to the west coast from KY via NJ. Took forever, somehow it got mixed in with "bulk mail"

Imagine if airlines were 80% successful  .

They are! Just check out their numbers.
And imagine if the airlines moved 82 million passengers per day...

It does take awhile sometimes. I've only once had a package never show up and it wasn't around the holidays. It was insured, and they eventually paid (4 months later), but it was a hassle.

Good luck to you. I've found it's more a function of how the local postal workers feel about their jobs and satisfying the customer. In some places they go well above and beyond and in some places they barely do the minimum (or less).

Ya - Every system has its' quirk doesn't it? I did a usps parcel post as selected by a ebayer, and the package went out to Michigan on the 11th of Dec, and they started screaming when they didnt have it around the 20th? I told em' "you picked parcel post", then yesterday another query from them on ebay, and I ran the dc # and found it to be just released from the main depot in Michigan. So they got what they paid for....
Now I bought a phone for my son on the night of Christmas Eve, and paid for onight delivery, obvious on the 26th tho, and the seller stipulated that he wanted signature delivery conformation. Today the 27th, we came home and found the phone setting on the front porch with no sig. hmmmmm or maybe we didn't get the phone.....???? What a perfect world we live in- but hey- it was the holidays, and my hat goes off to the shipping agencies for all their hard work!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your issues with the USPS Frank, guess I am not the only having trouble with those SOB's. One package of mine from a buy on CF was lost between 2 local PO's for 3 weeks! Right now I have an issue with an envelope that has been returned to me 2x! instead of the receipient

By "airlines" I meant actual flights landing. Imagine if 20% of flights crashed. Yikes.

Or if 80% of baggage got to the right location. Assuming 100 on a flight, 20 people wouldn't get their stuff.... haha.
