First Interview tomorrow!

Grats man. Do you have to GIVE a 10 minute presentation?

Also, since you said its your first real interview can I ask what your major is?

Yes, I have to GIVE a 10 minute presentation to my next interviewer...basically about how I could benefit the company, what the internship could do for me, ect. My major is Marketing - IMC (advertising) and I'm getting a minor in Insurance.

I'm kind of hitting on the sales aspect of marketing and also the insurance with this internship opportunity.

I remember going through this process.

If I can give you any advice - handwritten thank you notes. It's almost a lost art now because of e-mail. This is a very subtle way to set yourself apart from your other interviewees.

Good luck on round #2.

Jamie

Damn. lol. I did the whole e-mail route this time. I'll plan on handwriting my next few. Thank you! (I had heard about this, but forgot all about it)

Naw i'm not in any frats. I never took to that sort of thing. I'm not really sure what I want to do, but as each day passes, I start to realize that I want to be in advertising, more and more.

That being said, I think I'm going to respectfully take myself out of the running for NW's internship opportunity. I can't come back three other weekends to interview, I have way too much crap to do for school, and a 10 min presentation? They should want me, just as bad as I want them. As much as I think it would be a great opportunity, it could end up being a disaster. I've got my parent's backing on this, so that makes me feel a hell of a lot better. There are way too many hoops to jump through, and I am not sure this will be a good fit for me. Anyways, at least I got my first interview out of the way, and they liked me enough to ask me back...that certainly has to mean something! Thank you again to everyone for wishing me good luck, and for the helpful tips!
