I use the Big Seven...Palio guillotine, Xikar double blade, Shuriken, Xikar 9mm & 11mm punch, Xikar V-Cutter, and a Colibri V-Cutter. It all depends on the cigar ring size & blend as to what I use.
Shuriken got me googling. Looks interesting.I use the Big Seven...Palio guillotine, Xikar double blade, Shuriken, Xikar 9mm & 11mm punch, Xikar V-Cutter, and a Colibri V-Cutter. It all depends on the cigar ring size & blend as to what I use.
Dang, you guys are fancy! I own one xikar cutter and it's cut every cigar I've had for a decade. I hope I haven't been missing out on a whole world of enjoyment by not using anything else.
I have and love both of thos but if you’re going to add something, I would suggest a small punch.I hear ya. I've had a Palio and a Xikar...............that's it.
I’ve almost bought that one a few times. EBay sells them as well as Famous in PA. Both for under $60.00 delivered. That's hilarious, I was just coming here to post that I want this! View attachment 22155

...words... Just because it's called a guillotine doesn't mean you chop the head off. It's more of a circumcision than a beheading.
Doc
Close enough for government work.I've been working on this lately. I can definitely notice a difference. Am I doing this right, Doc?

It's a bit weird when you put the cigar in your mouth and it has no cut whatsoever on the cap, yet draws perfectly. It really only works on milder cigars. If you use it on any of the Nicaraguan powerhouses, it tends to clog from the amount of tar that forms at the side cuts. Or if you tend to slobber on the end, it doesn't work well either as the tobacco swells from the saliva.Shuriken got me googling. Looks interesting.
I've had this same cutter for 10 years. Still use it dailyJust came in today View attachment 22207

hat makes me so pissed because I spent that much just trying to get the warranty fulfilled. I think I dropped $40 or more just trying to get my carbon fiber Palio. My favorites are the Xikar teardrop cutters and my Dunhill silver cigar punch. I always wanted to get a Palio and a couple of months ago went on the search for them and found these:
https://www.amazon.com/Palio-Kentuc...8&qid=1534950832&sr=8-3&keywords=PALIO+CUTTER
Only $10 because it has the "Kentuky Fire cured" logo on it. It was a great deal and the logo came off easily using some elbow grease and bounty paper towel (I would have left the logo, but I actually hate those cigars). If you search, you'll be able to find other colors at the same price. I've purchased a blue one and a black one since.
Here are some pics, as you can see, no logo on either side of the cutter.
