These ones from the old batch have close to an additional year on them now and are getting better all the time. Strong cigar for after breakfast but I got off work at 5AM so I'm cheating ;)

I knew these would improve with age even though they were great anyhow. It's sweeter and smoother than it was six months ago and I have a about a bundle left!

Anyone try one from the recent restocking? :whistling:

Nope... But I'm waiting for someone to say they are identical to the old batch!!! ;)
I have 2 bundle of the old ones, but wouldn't mind stocking up, and putting some age on 'em!!!

Haven't tried the new batch yet either but I will add that I liked the cigars from the old batch fresh from the store....longer age makes them too smooth and tastes mild for me.
I believe I have 4 unopend torpedo bundles.I could use more too.

New batch has not come out yet, but you can backorder. Word is that they should be available soon.

They just shipped the new stock... soon we will find out if it is the old batch or not.

All sizes available except for the torps. My backorder of robustos should be here tomorrow. If they are the same blend, I still don't expect them to taste the same. The old batch had some age on them before they were shipped out. I'll know tomorrow.

How are you able to discriminate between new and old. I see that only the torpedo is back ordered. I had bookmarked these for future consideration, but I guess I need to look more closely, thanks.

You mean on the website, right? They ran out completely so when they aren't backordered, they're new. The only ones from the old batch are in the possession of hoarders like us! I had two bundles but not anymore. :(

Got my order from Famous yesterday afternoon. They have added a band to the cigar. Same boxpressed shape and wrapper color as the old 3000's and a great aroma. Hoping to get around to smoking one this afternoon.

I can't wait! Robustos?

I just checked(edit time) and no Torps yet BUT they added a fifth vitola - Toro($38.95/bundle). :D

I got mine in today, had to smoke one on the way to work this afternoon. I got a bundle of double robustos, a pretty hefty size. The build is fine, label is nice, simple but looks good. The shape was weird to me, pressed on two sides so it's really an oval shape. I liked it, but turning it to help even burn was strange because of the shape. This was the smokiest cigar i've ever smoked. As soon as I lit it with a few 'starter' puffs, I was nearly blinded by the large thick cloud of smoke. It easily produced twice the average smoke of two premium cigars. Very thick, very white, just SMOKE man.

Smoking it was marvelous. Felt like eating grahm crackers, slightly sweet and toasty. I didn't really have the time to give it the attention it deserved, but I know that this was one of the best cigars i've smoked. No opening bitterness like most young sticks have. Excellent finish that lasted all night. I'll be buying a Torp bundle when they get in stock.

In about a month i'll probably revisit this stick and do a full review.

I really enjoyed the old batch and just recently order the new batch.
If they are anything close to the old ones they will be well worth the $.

Also when you order these you get FREE SHIPPING…and when they said free they mean free, there is no additional costs at all.

I've already gone through half a bundle of the robustos and several of the Presidentes. The construction on these have been excellent. the wrapper is just a little lighter than the old ones. Great burn, good draw with plenty of smoke. Pretty similar in flavor as the old ones except I'm catching something different but I can't put my finger on it yet. It just might be that these do not have as much age to them as the old ones.

So far I'm happy with them. I see many, many bundles heading my way in the future!

I was just being a know-it-all smartass as usual. :D
