Absolutely. I hardly smoked at all this summer (as evidenced by my absence here). It's tough to sit outside and enjoy the experience when you're sticky and sweaty after 15 minutes. For me, spring and fall are my favorite times to smoke outside.

Seeing that I currently live in the armpit of America, I hate the summer months much less I hate this place. I don’t smoke that often unless I am at the cigar bar or in the pool, I just don’t find anything relaxing about profusely sweating. I favorite day of the year to smoke a cigar is on Christmas Eve; we have a huge family dinner at this amazing steak house (Three Forks) and then it’s back to the house for drinks and cigars.

I love Fall, but winter stinks for smoking up here. Anything but the hardiest of wrappers falls apart quickly in the super dry, cold air of January and February. If you're not smoking thick maduros in the winter here, you're not smoking anything. Unless, of course, you're fortunate enough to have an indoor smoking area.

Indeed, it is something special for me. Although my favorite holiday of the year is Halloween too so I'm always in a good mood when fall rolls around. I love relaxing out side in the cooler air having a nice gar.

Yep, Fall is by far my favorite season. Weather is cooling off, football starts, Oktoberfest, State Fair, Bday, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc.

I also somehow seem to stock up on cigars through Fall/Winter.

Chalk another one up for fall. Thanksgiving day I am in charge of frying the turkeys. I get out there about 9 in the morning and over the next few hours I have a couple of nice beers and cigars while relaxing in the crisp air. The most relaxing day of the year in my world.

I have to agree with what everyone else has said. This is the time of year down here when it finally starts to cool off and you can actually enjoy sitting outside with a nice drink and smoke in the afternoon.

This is the time of year when my cigar stash seems to grow and the pipes start becoming active again. I love to smoke a pipe in cool weather (just something about a pipe & the "Season of the Colours") but cigars just don't seem to taste right to me in cooler weather.

EDIT TO ADD:

snip.... I guess it helps me ensure all my stock has a little age on it! :)

Yeah, same for me, but a different seasonal rotation I guess!!!! I bought a dozen each Edge Missiles and Torpedos (both Maduros) and put 'em in the bottom of the big humi 'till next spring. People were laughing at me (knowing how much I like 'em), saying they won't last 'till Christmas.

Oh yeah, sitting on the deck chilling w/ a good cigar, more often than not it can be done from October-May here, very few really cold days :) And this winter i'm gonna load up on Opus and Anejo, goal is at least 5 boxes of each.

The gods look more favorably upon sacrifices made in the fall and in return enhance one's experience.

Doc.

Fall is a nice time to smoke if the weather is fall like. However the weather in my part of Ohio is unseasonably hot (low 80's). It may be a record heat wave for this time of year. I'm not complaining. Winter can stay away as long as it wants. I have arthritis and the cold makes me hurt.

Fall and Spring are my most favorite seasons by far, for all the reasons stated above.

Yeah, a nice Fall smoke is great. Something about the air just feels different, better.

The only downside is by the time I'm home from work during the week I've missed the sunset and twilight hours which are a great time of day to smoke.

I am a spring fall guy too. In summer I only smoke early in the day or around sunset - hate smoking and sweating.

HOWEVER I think spring and fall hold a deeper emotional bond with the cigar. With Spring I am excited to know smoking (outdoor) season is back and I look forward to all the smokes I will burn. Fall is a little sader its lets me know another smoking season has gone but I am happy trying to fit in all the smokes I promised myself in spring.

Winter is also okay as I think of my happy stash is cool and aging it self and preparing for another spring.

Yeah, I like smoking yard 'gars while raking leaves.
It's a challenge NOT to set the leaf pile afire, with the
ashes from my 'gar. Then when the raking is done
for the day, I light up a primo cigar.

But I also like smoking in the spring, and while golfing
in all three seasons. In the dead of winter it's tough
to smoke outside, and the PCs are banning indoor
smoking most everywhere around here. A few cigar
bars are left, but not particularly nearby/handy.
My cigar consumption drops by 75% over the winter.

Last Xmas I got a hold of a tin of OpusX, some Anejos
and a few other goodies. It was so cold on Xmas and
New Year, that I never smoked one of them until my
birthday/vacation over Labor Day. I suppose I could
have had one for Mother's Day or even Easter, though.

Later.

Chemyst

Fall is the best time for lots of things. Meals are heartier, brews are fuller, and smoke just tastes better. You don't sweat all the time, and the mosquitos are on the way out so you can smoke a Pepin or Fuente without the taste being tainted by citronella coils (although Victor Sinclairs are improved by the piquant citrus overtones blanketed over the usual turd-like basenote).
