Ex-Grateful Dead, Miles Davis Keyboardist Merl Saunders Dies

I saw a show on the Garcia-Saunders "Hooter-roll" (is that what is was called?) tour.
It was good!

A great keyboardist, who played with two masters of improvisation.

I actually have a collaboration CD with Saunders, and Garcia. It is part of my "Desert Island" collection.
 
Damn, that's a shame. I'ma hafta dig out my old copy of Live at the Keystone and smoke one in his memory soon.

RIP Merl...
 
'My Problems got Problems' off of Fire Up is one of my favorites. R.I.P Merl.
