Raul is 72 or so himself, not exactly a long term player. It is the next one after him that will be interesting.

Put a 52" plasma screen in every other store along with a new washer & dryer and I'm sure Castro will be gone. :0 Once people can see what hard work and perseverance can earn, and then actual be able to buy it, why would they want to be socialist? ;)

I think the embargo should remain in place so long as that no good SOB Castro remains in power. When the time comes that he dies or gets overthrown, we'll have to see how the new regieme is.

If Castro continues his human rights violations, terrorism and other "bad" things that he does, then the embargo should remain in place no matter what my personal feelings are about wanting to be able to obtain Cuban cigars easier or the pros and cons concerning cigar quality are.
I believe his son or brother is in line to replace him and from what I recall he would make Castro look like Mr. Rogers.

it is not like he goes around and kills people in the streets for fun.
No he puts them in political prison.

We can't forget the Cuban Missile Crisis and what it could have meant for the US. Also, the embargo didn't work cause of countries such as Mexico and Canada. I equate them to modern day France. Just my 2 cents :D

For the people of Cuba, I wish the embargo would end. However, for my selfish reason, I wish it would not. Because the quality will go downhill, while the prices climb.

NO! I like it just the way it is! I have no problems with supply or prices. I think ending the embargo will **** it all up for us that already got it good with ISOMs. Maybe a little selfish but then I am a cigar whore!

The probable regime will be that of his brother Raul, who is even more of a hard-line marxist than old Fidel...
