Glad the box arrived safe; at least it doesn't have to spend the weekend baking in the hot Texas sun. BTW, if a certain phishy shows up, get out your shotgun -- he's going for the pass.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Hollan, but I believe these are pre-release Hemi's -- look at the year (!!).
 
I don't remember seeing Hemmingways 18 years ago. 'Course I was still smoking Winston kings in a box ???
 
The Hemi's are not pre-release but close. In 1986 Carlito had 100 boxes made. Inside each box are 25 SS, 25 Sigs, and 25 Classics (they each have a nice compartment). Each box is hand numbered, dated, and signed by Carlito. To me its a really cool box. The cigars were made with a special batch of tobacco that Carlito felt worthy of putting in a special reserve box. These are old but trust me they are not past their prime. Mellow yes, but if you like Hemingways oh man what a treat. If you have never seen how yellow a properly stored cigar cello gets after 18 years when you see these you are in for a treat. True yellowphane. These 3 cigars came from box #65 of 100. I wonder who has box #65?? ;) I threw in the OR Anejos as they are one of my favorite cigars. Hope someone else in the pass enjoys them as much as I do. Again, thanks for letting me play!
