I thought it was funny

.
Appears to me that Jon is in fact, Mexican. Being of Hispanic descent, he's automatically given the right to poke fun at himself. Much like a person of Jewish descent might joke about 'penny pinching', Jon has decided to call upon the "lawn care" stereotype.

Well chosen, I might add. I am also Mexican, and have owned my own lawn service in the past. So, I personally find his joke spot on and amusing.

But, that just coming from one more lawn jockey... :D ;)

Thanks bro! See, I never attained that status, of having my own company, but I worked as a "Landscape Aesthetic Specialist," or landscaper for 3 years on a 26 acre resort campus.

I apologize if I offended you Alex, but in my opinion it's in the same vein as laughing along with Gary (no offense, just the first person come to mind) when he makes a joke about cops and donuts. I can either get offended and call Gary stereotypical and offensive, or I can embrace it and let it roll off. I choose to find the light in the situation. A post was made about lawncare products, so I thought I'd make a crack about myself.

PS- My favorite movie is Nacho Libre. Jack Black is not hispanic, but he sure makes for some funny jokes in that movie! Is he offensive and stereotypical? Nah, he's just funny.
