In this world where companies can screw you and you have to fight to fix it, American Express deals it back to unscrupulous merchants.

I reviewed my last six months Amex bills and found all kinds of erroneous charges from Sirius Radio and Vonage. After finding charges from Sirius for radios I don't own, I started looking closer. Vonage was also continuing to charge me for an account I canceled. After fighting with their customer dis-service departments I finally called Amex and they fixed it no problem.

Amex filed a dispute with Sirius for $720 in erroneous charges and immediately credited that amount to my bill. Sirius could not prove that the charges were legit so I got the money back, same with Vonage.

My favorite part.....in a conversation with Sirius they had me log on to my account on line and it showed 6 radios that I don't own, but have been charged for three years. I told them to turn off those radios and credit me the money....the lady says "we can't turn them off until we verify who owns them and we can't refund the money for prior service"

I'm glad you got your money back. It can be easy to overlook small charges on your statement if you are not careful. All of those little charges can really add up though. So did you use your new found money to score some boxes before the SCHIP sailed?

AMEX, in my experience, does a great job of going to bat for their card-holders. It's the only card I use, and has been for several years.

It's good to hear a story of good customer service in this time of companies thinking they have the right to not worry about customer service. Good on you Amex!

blah....blah...blah...

All I heard was "Money to buy more cigars" :D

Glad to hear things worked out for you. Smoke a great one!

Wow. That's ridiculous.

Glad to hear you got your money back. It's also great to hear American Express playin' it up. Customer service is becoming more and more crucial these days.
