Now that the opening Saturday of college football is DONE, how did your team fare, and how does your season look based on what you saw?

UF won 49-3 against W. Kentucky, can't tell much until we play Tennessee, but the O will be lethal this year, unfortunately the lack of experience on D may cause UF to lose 2-3 games.

UT just made it by Ark State. I really hope these guys pick it up. I guess the lack of a preseason hurts.

We lost this game on paper.....

Hook'em Horns

(14) UCLA 7 7 14 17 45 Final

Stanford 0 7 3 7 17

My Bruins looked ok against an inferior Cardinal squad.

They will be tested more next week by BYU.

LSU beat Mississippi St. 45-0 in a conference game, but I think there are a few holes to fill before they are worthy of their ranking. They play VT next week, who I wasn't impressed with their win against E. Carolina.

Go LSU!

Buckeyes won and Wolverines are part of the BIGGEST college upset in history losing to Appalacian State......................it REALLY doesn't get any better than that! Now if Florida will just fall on their face it will be a good season.

The Horns will pull their heads out before next week....Just a little snafu to start the season off.

BTW....GO APP. ST.!!!

Well, The UDub beat Syracuse... But, how much does that tell you? I must say the start of the Jake Locker era looked pretty good IMO... Kid can RUN as well as throw!!!

Roll Tide...They won 52-6 against Western Carolina...I was happy...there were moments I think Nick Saban wanted to beat their asses anyway for allowing even 6 points...Auburn won...that disappointed me...course they were behind til the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter...anyhow...That's how the Tide fared...

Univ. of N. Texas - 10
Oklahoma - 79

Not too bad of a loss....

Rutgers won however, I must see them 6-0 going into the West Virginia game and be competitive to really believe they are for real.

#24 Boise State beat Weber State 56 - 7. It was 49 - 0 after the first half and then the third stringers got to play.

We lost 22 seniors, so it'll be interesting this year. Next week versus Washington should tell.

USC spanked Idaho! Woohoo. Our local (Eureka) boy Rey Maualuga (middle linebacker) dominated the "D game" and had an interception that he returned for a TD! I think he's a pro prospect for sure, and this is just his Junior year!

Arkansas beat Troy St. 46 to 26 by allowing them to score on the last play of the game. We looked alright. We have some things that need to be worked on, but I think McFadden and Jones are going to have a great season. I am pulling for McFadden to win the heisman trophy, but I don't know how the team is going to do. The good thing is we have some easy games ahead! GO HOGS!

The Bulldogs sent the Cowboys home in shame! My first Georgia football experience was great! Next week: South Carolina. Athens is gonna' be rockin'!
See you at the Title Game!
