I was digging through the humi earlier cause I am going to be selling off some of my stock. This cigar was sent to me a few months back and I didn't pay attention to it so it went into the humi in the same bag it came in. Upon looking at it closer it seemed somewhat odd to me. This is supposedly from 04'. Checking to see what others think.

Good to know. Kind of threw me off a bit considering I had never seen one that dark before, and the wrapper was all crinkled up.

It could be an OR but the white on the band is too white imo.. I think you got hosed Ben!

Lol, JK, I had to..

I got some from '03-'04(can't remember) and the cello was not that dark. Probably not stored properly or maybe even older.

Does the 26 on the bar-code indicate it came from a box of 26? If so, then yes it looks a bit odd for a '04.

Good catch Matt, I didn't even notice that at first. Regardless I think the discoloration and wrapper condition are the result of some wonky storage at some point, not age.

I would have thought that it was a little on the damp side bu tthe label isn't discolored. Does look like too much humidity hit that sucker though.

Yeah for sure. I didn't pay close enough attention to it when I got it very recently so it just went into the humi.

I've had some Padróns from 2001 that were discolored like that, but the band was also discolored.

I'm wondering if the "26" on the wrapper may be pointing at the number of cigars in the box, but that would certainly place it after 2004. Trying to decipher some shops' system is about impossible, though.

Did Padron recently (6-12 months-ish?) change the material used with these bands? I feel like the more recent ones I've had were a little smoother and glossier while the older ones were more papery.
