Do not discuss sources?

sources..there i said it. :sign:
simple advice..rules is rules.

Allright fine, Here is a link to a place where you can discuss all the sources you want.

I just read this announcement : http://www.cigarpass.com/forums/index.php?...p;f=21&id=5

Over there is a banner advertising "genuine cuban cigars - original habanos boxes".

Its a bit ridiculous not to be able to discuss the the companies supplying cubans to any nation case it's illegal in one country, yet the same sources advertise at the forum!!!

Let the flamining begin

I have seen this brought up before......... Never was there a good explanation for why sources can not be mentioned in the open........To me it seems from Rod's point of view that all advertisers should get equal exposer without any bias one way or the other from community experiences........Hypothetically If an advertiser feelt that they were getting negetive exposure they may drop there add resulting in lost revenue to CP.......

Bob

Uh, so you think I run CP for the money? Do you think if we lose sponsorship CP will shut down? Do I accept un-reputable sponsorship? Do you have any idea how many company's attempt to advertise with me and I turn them down? Do you even know anything about me or CP in general? Clearly you don't. ;) I'm not about turning CP into a banner farm. This isn't a business for me. Like I've said many times before, I have a great day job which pays the bills. ;) It's nice for the site to sustain itself though, especially with the high cost in server bills I pay every month, not to mention software upgrades, patches, etc.

There are reasons why the discussion of sources is frowned upon, and it has nothing to do with protecting the sponsors' reputation. I don't support any sponsor who screws or otherwise mistreats the members here. I just canned one recently for not communicating effectively. So, learn about us a bit more before making assumptions.

Stick around and you'll learn a lot.

Anyone who invites flaming will result in a short-lived membership here.

If anyone doesn't like the rules here, there are PLENTY of other cigar forums out there. Though I don't think any of them offer anywhere near the amount of information that we offer here. :D

three cheers for Ron!!

well said... and thanks
